Did a Install Thursday and Friday nights on my TC
I bought a Pioneer AVIC-F900bt on ebay for 250 shipped b/c it was unresponsive and kept rebooting and would not eject a CD(aka Bricked). So thursday after work I Spent the night copying backup files new copies of Windows CE and performing software hacks. Then copied all the files to the recently formatted head units flash drive. It worked and now I have a pretty sweet Navi/DVD/Phone/all-in-one. Next day I pulled out my old RF Punch 120a2 from the closet and a hide away box I built last year and wired it up. Other than needing to tidy up the wires under the passenger seat install is complete. I also need to get a knob for the HU. I'm going to upload a custom rom with a software bypass to enable all the menu's while moving this weekend.
BTW the CD could not have been ghey'r, it was Simple Plan.

Pioneer just needs a ground switch put on the e-brake wire. We hid Juan's switch in his ashtray.

no this unit isnt that easy, you actually have to modify the main harness . i have the same unit and it senses if the wire is grounded and it also uses the gps to see if the car is in motion. if you need the hardware hack for the harness just pm me dude.

THats what I was going to say. But you can edit the code in one file so you don't have to change the wires.

Take the yellow/black (mute wire that's in the TOP LEFT CORNER OF CONNECTOR) that's in the plug with all of the rca outputs and DE-PIN it. plug that wire into the 4th from left on bottom row. It will be under a pink wire and in between 2 black wires. That wire needs to see the same ground as your Brake Lead wire in the other harness.
As far as editing it out with code....I have 0 experience with that. GL
