we've had the dynomax dual outlet muffler on for a couple years and the first time around we had turndown tailpipes made, but they weren't even from side to side
then she wanted square Z28 style tips, took some searching to find 2.5" tips but we found some eventually
once again the guy didnt put them on even and they made a strange hollow noise when cold
so finally we found EQ muffler, he was willing to work with us and do exactly what we wanted while i watched every move he made
i dont know if anyone has experience with an f-body, but they are in no way symetrical on the underside and getting the tailpipes to be equal on both sides is almost impossible due to the positioning of the fuel tank and spare tire, if they are on an f-body and they are even, they are in the exact location of these pipes
he did a great job too! looks and sounds great, and this time we added a magnaflow direct fit hi-flow cat

I guess he's changed a lot since I went there. It was almost 5 years ago. But when I went he seemed to just want to take an easy way out. I told him exactly what I wanted, and what mufflers and tips I was bringing. All he seemed to want to do was put on the mufflers and tips. He didn't want to remove and run new pipe from the cat back.
Good to see things have changed though. I've always had good luck with Seeburg in rogers.

ugh. i hated that guy you used to use. gene i think his name was. he seemed so lazy and like he didn't give a shit about business. when i wanted borla on my mustang we asked him to price it and call us back.. which he never did. and when we called HIM back his reply was, "oh.. uh.. it's too expensive." too bad for him, my dad was buying (graduation present) and he, like me, is willing to pay for quality. im not complaining though, im glad he never got to touch the car. me and my dad ordered the system ourselves and got someone else to put it on.

We always use EQ in anything we've got at the shop that needs exhuast work, he does really good work, and you can get to do some pretty custom stuff, unlike alot of other shops. Yeah EQ changed hands not too long ago, in the last year or so, and we've been using them since then.

I'll have to see it in person.. but...
1. I would have welded the cat & not clamped it like that..
2. On the left pipe.. I don't care for the look of clamp on hangers with U bolts.. Yes they work great.. But I'm sure that you can see it hanging out there cruising behind her car while driving down the road.. I'd get it replaced with a weld on hanger to look cleaner.. But thats just me..
3. On the right pipe.. Whats up with that weird twist?
But yes.. it looks really good other than that and I can't wait to hear it.. I hear it sounds goooood...
I often use Discount Muffler in Springdale.. They do awesome work as well!!

doh, i spent a long time replying and accidently exited the page
joe and i have already spoken over the phone but for discussion....
1. its for ease of removal, the exhaust isnt for show, if it were it would be a fully mandrel catback, instead of a cat, with a muffler back, its all 2.5" it flows good and sounds good and....
2. you cant see anything but DYNOMAX on the muffler (it says that so you know its expensive) and the outlets of the tailpipes unless you're sitting on the ground taking pictures or you're looking under the car
3. just a double bend
what you can see normally and what you hear is exactly how we wanted it
we were going to go with a full 3" mandrel single exit system but decided against it a. because it already is the best sounding V6 fbody we've ever heard and b. didnt want to spend $XXX for an overkill exhaust system and risk screwing up the sound we've already achieved

I went there to get my fart cannon put on. Nice guy, and awesome work! He charged me $50 for half of my car's exhaust, about 8 bends lol, and 3 or 4 welds. I'll post some pics when I get a chance.
