Thats right, I need 8 Arcade style buttons for a multiplayer Game Show device I am building upon request.
I've searched throught every switch and pushbutton on Ebay and Google and have decided that the hand buzzers will be an Arcade style pushbutton.
Does anyone know where to find one? I am kinda looking for specific stuff here, but if there happens to be an arcade dealer around, I can just hook up with dude and get what I may need.
The Sanwa Denshi buttons are what I am leaning towards because of their mounting depth and lack of external bottom snap in microswitch.
I need to put these in shallow enclosures so traditional arcade switches might be too long. Most Arcade switches are tested at 1 - 5 million pushes whereas radioshack $5 button is dead in a month.
Now I have messaged a few people in Hong Kong and United Kingdom about a small airmail purchase but usually they wont ship me anything unless its REALLY small or REALLY big. There is a nice LED manufacturer over there that sells his stuff really cheap and always gives me a good deal.
I've seen a couple sites that are just charging OUTRAGIOUS prices for Sanwa parts like Himura http://www.himuragames.com/store_buttons.php who is a member of the shoryuken forums. I also found the a Sanwa Dealer but cannot install the correct language http://www.sanwa-d.co.jp/p_p-button.htm
I am just needing 8 - 10 of these (doesnt even need to be arcade) buttons. I had thought about using the Staples Easy button as my trigger because of its size and ease of use, but decided it was branded and I would most likely need to replace the contact switch for more heavy duty application.
Incase you have no idea what I am talking about... The solid color Buttons are Sanwa Denshi/Seimitsu buttons from China and come in 24mm or 30mm size, snap in or screw in.
The Translucent buttons are the Jamma machine ones and are too long for my application.
