Memorial Day Weekend

Ok, since its a holiday weekend and all, I am planning some stuff with a few chapters of my club. I thought I would extend the invite to you all for a few of the things going on that weekend.

Saturday May 29th - Heartbeat Of The Ozarks show in Springdale @ Ozark Centerpoint Place. Mostly a hot rod show, but last year there were a few imports and mini trucks there. They don't do classes, they hand out awards to the Top 100 and they plan to give at least 25 to I think 90+.

Saturday night - Everyone from DO who makes it here will be out in Fayetteville cruising.

I am still not sure how many are gonna be able to make it, but it should be fun.

Wish I could be there...we're camping/floating that weekend, with a BBQ on Monday.

I hope to draw some of the Tulsa guys, couple from KC are coming, Jon from DFW will be here and maybe 1 or 2 from NEA. I am sure Nermal will be here also.

I think that registration for the show begins at 8am.

Just a reminder that this coming weekend is Memorial Day weekend. Our club meeting is at 8:00pm on Saturday night. We will be rolling out soon afterwards to hit up Fayetteville and cruise around and hang out.

Details about the show are above, hope some of you can make it out for that as well.

there were like just over 100 cars..almost all old cars and trucks. The didn't have classes, just trophies for the top 100. So they gave out the trophies and I didn't get one, despite Ellie being one of the rarest cars there...moderately modified mind you...but no...even a stock brand new dodge pickup with NO mods at all got a trophy. WTF?!?!?! Bunch of old farts didn't know what they were looking at. :rant: Hey, I shouldn't be too mad...Ellie's not a show car anyway.

Show was cool, wish I could have taken the truck, but that is a story for another time, lol.

Anytime you go to these hot rod shows, you have to expect a certain amount of bias. I have gotten used to it. But we still had a blast, DO took home 3 trophies for the show and one of our guys from Dallas got the long distance award.

Got to see a lot of nice rides at Sonic last night and met a couple people from here. Again, wish I had the truck out, maybe in a couple weeks it will be rollin again.
