Merging Import + Domestic Forums

How would you all feel about merging of the Import + Domestic forums?

seems fine to me... i mean does it serve a purpose really having them seperate.. make the board faster, not as many links to click to see the same content so it sounds good to me ;)

I agree. But I mostly kept them seperate for the V8 guys to have their thing and the Sport Compact crowd to have their thing.

I'm actually going through and going to edit the forums a bit to make it so everything isn't so segregated. :D :2thumbsup:

Besides, I need the room for the new 'Club Forums' that are going to go up.

I don't want lines and lines of forums that people have to scroll through, ya know.. ^_^

It just seems that the domestic guys get segregated when people post stuff like, "Hey where is everyone meeting" they post it in the import section. Or, "Who wants to go to X track this weekend" its in the import section. And that, is not necessarily fair. And people with hybrid cars like the Probe aren't sure whether to post in the domestic or import section. It just feels too segregated.

I need more input before I do this. Any pros or cons from anyone. B)

hmm...i would hafta say :thumbdown: solely for the reason that i think the forum combined would get very cluttered and much harder to navigate....not that i have a problem bein with the "import scene" at all...i just think things would stay much more organized the way things are, but it wouldnt bother me if it was changed! :)

Did you notice though that they are still separate actually? The Tuning And General section?

The only thing I merged were the kills & media. There weren't enough kills to successfully have their own section and the media I figured when they have a vid thats like "Camaro Vs. Civic" they'd be in the same section.

So everyone is :thumbdown: about it? I just wanted to have more room on the board, less scrolling and such. Which was my reasoning for it. :huh:

Go search for it under http://www.nwaimports.com/forums/index.php?act=Search&f=20 It probably won't be too hard to find. Or if you've posted in it, go look at your profile and click, "View all posts by this user" and go from there.

I guess its fine (I've been on here for like 2 hours and havent even looked yet, just looking at new posts :D)

Its really up to the members tho. Originally NWAI was exactly that, but since we have met new peeps and been introduced to NWAFBA - its all good. We cant descriminate peeps just cause they dont have an import. Perhaps a NWAI name change is in order?

Admin have discussed it some but not extensively. The site and forum really just depend on the members we have. We dont make sections like most new forums do when they start out - and then hope to fill them, we let it run and when it needs a new section we add it. We've added a few different sections via members requests in the past and added some Moderators since we need them now.

Pretty much changes grow as NWAI does, whether it be good or bad, we try to do whats best for you guys - so dont be afraid to voice your opinion about things.

I gotta say- you guys do a good job over here. Keeping the imports and domestics on the same site, and everybody is pretty happy with it. Me? I kept ARImport.com how it is, and now I have a new site, AR-Performance.com. AR-Performance is open to anyone, but its geared more towards domestics. Kinda keeps the domestic guys on ARImport from talkin so much trash to the import drivers.. I just couldn't find a better way, so I registered a new site. :)

Disclaimer: Not trying to plug my websites here... just saying that ya'll do a better job than me at keeping everyone happy on this site.
