I've been wanting to see what my car will do in the 1/4 mile before i sell it, so i was wanting to know if anybody might be goin out to Tulsa some time soon, like this weekend? I know my car has gotta be just into the 13's, but i want to see what it can do. Let me know if anybody want to go, or is already going!

id like to go but need to do something about my exhaust first. i need a cut-out...i put my stocker back on.

i bet me and you would be a good race stealthy joe. i should be runing 13.7-13.8 if my nitrous sprays correctly. i ran 14.7 there NA 2 years ago at the midnight drags.

Yeah sounds like that would be a real close run, i'm hoping to get high/mid 13's the way it is, i'm temped up my shot to see how much lower i can get it, lol.

-now are the midnight drags a TnT? or can i just make some fun runs? i'm used to Mokan and Centerville.

midnights are TnT also. sometimes they dont do time slips though on midnights which sucks

-stealth 14.3 spinning all the way in to 3rd gear (still running 95 shot, hasnt sprayed 125 yet, no traction anyhow)
-RS camaro went 13 flat with traction issues
-chevelle 14.7 @ 91

I ran two more passes at 14.3@100, not getting traction til the top of 3rd gear which is about 75mph, but final run of the night, i got some awesome traction and i had to of been in the 13's, but they didn't post the times. The 454SS truck i ran against, was running 13 flats all night long, and i finished at his rear tire and gaining on him, so if had to guess it was about 13.7@over100. my car didnt' seem to have the topend it does at Centerville, because i trap at 94mph in the 1000ft, and i gain 13mph between the 1/8 and the 1000, so my car i think is capable of mid 13's with good traction and it running right. I really wish they where printing time slips so i would have a better idea of what i was running.

i had no idea this was the same guy till just now lol

we had a blast, good times until someone oiled the track and we had to wait over an hour for it to get cleaned

my car was running for shit, slightly bogging off the line and ended up being pretty bad lean on the top end so I am gonna try to tune the carb best i can with a vacuum gauge and up the jets some

my best posted time was 14.6@ 93mph

ran again against a mustang GT that got a 14.2x and i was about 1 car behind him

next time we go i should have swapped in some 3.55 gears and i'll have someone with a truck join us so i can unload my tools, sub, amp, and all the other crap in my trunk

fun times though, even if we did watch the sun come up on the way home

yeah seems we were all running about .3 slower than we should have been, i'm wishing i had a time slip so i could see if the 1/8th mile times were off too

if i get my carb tuned i'm gonna run in Paris, TX while I'm home

Yeah me too, i really want to see what i'll run on that 125 shot :2thumbsup: . Yeah i didn't realize that you where on the board when Dave was talkin about you, that was a pretty fun time, i just wish we could of had more passes, and print outs.

So far I've discovered a stopped up fuel filter, a loose spark plug (explains the fluttering sound I've been hearing...compression loss), and for some reason my timing backed off 4 degrees.

Tomorrow I'm ordering a MSD ignition module, advance curve kit, and a carb rebuild kit. Once I put all this on I'm gonna try bumping the timing to in increments to 42 degrees and see if I gain anything over normal (36 degrees)

So if you and David want to try to run somewhere in the next couple weeks I will see about getting off work.

I'm stuck at home, doped up on pain pills & muscle relaxers due to a wreck, that and being bored, I guess I didn't realize how old the thread was, but, if anyone still wants to go to Tulsa....
