You know they have bike night all the time for the motorcycles and the crusie night things at sonic(basically for the muscle it seems like). It would be cool if we organized an import night somewhere for like a certian night a week at a resturant or something like they do for the motorcycles. It would be a cool way 2 meet ppl and everyone show off there car. Just an idea for ppl 2 get together without getting ran off by the cops at night.

Awesome idea.
I talked to the manager of IHOP and he said we could do it. But the only things that we could do is go inside and eat. He said no one could hang out by their cars for very long, no revving of the motor, showing off stereo equipment, etc. So basically, you pull up, park beside your friends and go inside. And, yeah, thats it. So, I declined.
About Sonic, BDP had a buddy who was manager of the one over by IHOP in Rogers who was going to let us, but he got fired.. So that plan went out the window.
So if anyone knows any managers or anything that would be okay with us to meet there and bring in more potential business, that'd be awesome.

If it was somewhere we could go that we could eat and stuff it would be better that way there would be more of a reason 2 get together adn hang out.

Since those cruise nights for the hot rods and stuff are usually on Saturday, do you think the guys at Sonic would let us use it Friday? If you can hook up a place for an import night that'd be awesome.

We should see if Applebees or something like that in Rogers off the bentonville exit would let us do it...... Chili's would be sweet, because there are a lot of hot chicks that work there. We could see if we could do it every other saturday during the summer. If we do it every week, it will get old..... I might be able to talk to Jeff at On The Border and see if we can get it done.....

Applebees in Rogers would be cool since the old Shorty Smalls building next door is empty. There is a lot of parking. Also, once Shakes in Rogers re opens, we could ask them. Also a ton of parking.

I dunno about shake's... Mel said that they were moving to the Forum... the place where krispy Kreme is going to be and where play it again sports or whatever its called is at.... but I doubt thats true... too far from the road and dont see a drive through going in over there....
If anything bring the food to the place... brock through a BBQ at the pawn shop and tell Gene to do a fishfry or whatever a different night so its not always BBQ lol. iono just an idea...
another idea is maybe Best Sports. It has a pretty big parking lot and is surrouned by fast food places that you can just walk across the street to...

I read in the paper they only were closing it to remodel and make a name change to Shakes from Shakeys due to being sued by a California Pizza Company for the use of a copyrighted name. The were supposed to reopen sometime.
Other options to consider and check on:
Rear parking lot at Frisco Station Mall
Krispy Kreme (once it opens)
Ozark Centerpoint Place (another night that the hotrods aren't there)
I am sure there are others. Keep in mind, if this becomes a regular event through the Spring and Summer, we are going to want to use a large parking lot to accomodate all the rides that attend.

Is there anyone that would be interesterd in actually getting this thing going? Where we could start 2 choose an actual spot and see what we can do about dates and when we would have it. Cuz if we could get alot of ppl 2 show up it would be alot of fun.

What about the Fiesta Square parking lot? (in fayetteville) It's one huge parking lot used by a bunch of stores. It's facing College Ave. so everyone could see it and our cars. Would it be legal to just come and meet there or would we have to get permission from someone to meet there?

Like someone else already said, we need to hook up with someone from management from some sort of local store that has a huge-ass parking lot. I liked the idea of behind Frisco Mall.. I also like the idea of the old shakey's lot. But the main thing is, we need permission.
That way, when police come to tell us to "Go Home" or "Get on outta here" we can show them a typed paper from the management saying it is permissable for us to be there. That way, we'll have a place to call our own.
Mali said he can get us the Pawn USA & Audio lot, but it is not that big.. But, it is a place, and a place that has been used for this purpose before.
But I'm with Spiderman on this one.

What about the Hobby Lobby/Atlanta Bread Co. parking lot in Fayetteville? Would that work or is it the same deal as Fiesta?

Best sports is a no go. We already did it, and got kicked out. The problem is, too many JACKASSES tear shit up and act stupid. Burnouts and shit like that. Trash all over the place, etc. I think the dixieland parking lot in front of hobby lobby would be PIMP!!!

i like that hobby lobby idea. its kinda in the middle of all the main cities and its right next to that main road out in front of it so people could come check it out even if they didn't have an import. :2thumbsup:

The Krispy Kreme is supposed to open in a couple months. Once the walls are up, it will go QUICK!
The new owners of Frisco Station Mall are from out of town, so we will just have to stop by the mall and ask the management that is on location if its something we can work out.
The Shakes lot we could probably get by going and talking to the Mazzio's store manager and see if we could working something out.
Again, its just a matter of someone stepping up and going over there.
We should also approach the Police Dept. in whatever town we seriously consider and make sure they are gonna be cool with us. As long as the idiots don't screw it up for us, I think that this could work out.
