hey guys, i am looking for a OBD I P28 Code A00 from a 92-95 Civic EX. I'm gonna mod it out for a OBD II Civic. We're testing a setup now (Thanks TY!!) and it works great, love the extra get up and go!! Eliminated the CAT sensor and most Check engine Flags from Header or fuel mods...

Anyone ever swapped a computer?

Anyone have a Cheap conversion adapter?

We found a p28 at a Bone yard and they want $100. Flea Bay had one too for $100.
There is a Modded OBD I on there with a chip installed for $300.

Okay, lemme know if you guys run across one, even one for parts, i dont care.
(Input and stories on the swaps appreciated)

Thanks
Happy posting

So Everyone in the world seems to know all about Suburu's and RX-7s, but nothing about a shitty honda? Hmm <_<

Guess i'll wait till we get some experienced techs on board to ask these questions.

Nobody cares :P

You should just need a wiring diagram for the stock ECU and the new one, and start splicing wires, if I understand what you wannat do right.

Nobody cares about what? And WTF are you talking about???

I asked if anyone had a computer or a conversion harness - not some computer diagram!!!

If i have the extra computer i can gut the harness plugs from the board and make my own harness.

YES that 2nd post was directed to you and caleb mostly... You seem to know so many people, how come you dont know any Honda people? Thats all i was implying.

I already have this whole conversion installed, i just need another to build

I never said anything about hondas being shitty. They are good cars and I would drive one but they opertunity presented itself and my dad bought this one instead of a honda. By the way he did not buy it for me it is his. He gave me the keys for a Christmas present so I get to drive it whenever I want but its not "mine". The engine blew while I was driving it so I have to fix it with MY money.

Hondas are not shitty and I wish I knew more about them and the possible engine swaps ect.
Maybe you can help me learn more about Hondas.

Kidding with the nobody cares...

I was saying if you have the wiring diagrams, you should be able to cut and solder wires together instead of having to have a "conversion" harness. That's what I would probably do, just because I have all the time I need but no money. :D

I know plenty of Honda people, but I don't keep track of who has stuff for sale that I don't even need. The Honda I have don't use none of your new-fangledy ECU's, the car I'm thinking of building will need one for it's ZC engine, but I've got a lot of fabrication to do before I have to worry about an ECU.

edit: there's a place called Russel Imports in Alma, they have all kinds of salvaged Honda and Toyota and all the other common import parts. I'd look there if I were you.

*Ahem*, who hates Hondas?? ;)

Check out http://www.honda-tech.com/zeroforum?id=10. They always have computers for sale on there for generally cheap prices. The P28 is a hot item, so it may be a little more. Also, there are a couple guys on there that make conversion harnesses from any year to almost any other year. Just let me know if you find anything, my sn on there is I8ayellowcrayon, I can talk to them for you. Also hit the search button at the top right of the page and just search for P28.

We were sorta hoping for something under $100. Cause we could get one outta the Bone yard for $100 - our friend TY (Magic nails) was talking about going to Cali to find one too. I will let them know about yours tho.. Thanx
