Anyone have a couple of these they're willing to part with? I need 'em for my starter for my r/c car.
Thanks!!!

what voltage and mA?
They have 7.2volt 6 cell 1100 ~ 1500 mAh for about $15.00 online
and the 3000+ mAh for $35 ~ $39
I did check out the barn floor.com and found them a bit cheaper 3000mAh for $25.00
They have a Tamiya Ni-Mh 3000 ~ 3800 for $26 - $35
what type of RC car is this? Is it gas? You should get a big phat sealed lead acid battery 10AHr or so :D If a 5ah can power my inverter and computer for 30 minutes, i'm sure it can turn an electric motor :P
heres you a little 6v lead acid http://cgi.ebay.com/HP-9114B-NEW-Sealed-Le...1QQcmdZViewItem (http://cgi.ebay.com/HP-9114B-NEW-Sealed-Lead-Acid-Battery-4-Calculator_W0QQitemZ9713263566QQcategoryZ58039QQrd Z1QQcmdZViewItem)

what kinda racing do you do with them?

Any. They're used on asphalt/concrete for road racing, they're used on dirt tracks, really aywhere you feel like runnin' them. I was jumpin' curbs the other day and messed up my motor mounts. I need some new bolts for that, but I can run it as is. Just got the electric start on it, but I need some GOOD batteries for it, 'cause it drains them QUICK.

You can see the electric starter there with the wires running to the plug in the back.
The head isn't stock, I bought it for $10 on ebay, it's fuggin' awesome.
I was just runnin' the shit out it of this weekend against a T-Maxx on/off-road. He whooped my ass off-road (my shocks are set too stiff) but I killed him on-road. I haven't gotten the chance to take it apart and clean it, yet.
I really need a body for it. Thinkin' about getting a Corvette shell, painting it gloss black with dark windows as well, and giving it a license plate that says "GRRR". Would really look awesome when it's doing cartwheels or jumping curbs. It's also really funny when the T-Maxx runs over it, so I think it'd look sweet with the T-Maxx and his F-150 body running over the Corvette bodied buggy.
LMAO
I crack myself up.

Re-mounted my plug for the electric starter too, so it doesn't look like I'm shoving the thing up its ass. Also had to modify the starter housing a little, it was putting pressure on the startershaft and making it tough to turn over. All's good now. Car runs awesome.
I've never seen nitro cars with electric glow plugs. They always used that hand held igniter in my days but figured it would be sooner or later till they got an onboard battery for that purpose.
Lead acid may not be the way to go after all because of the size and weight.

I've still got two of the old school glow plug starters, I had to use them with the pull-start system. The electric start doesn't require onboard batteries, but a battery pack with a button that plugs into a plug right in front of the wing. I push the button and it heats up the glow plug and turns the engine over at the same time.
I got a push-button starter, lol.

Oooo, I've allways wanted an ofna. I didn't know you could buy an electric start for them.

It's fun. The electric start is off an MBX buggy, mine's an Ultra LX Comp buggy. I had to modify the electric starter housing a little bit to get it to fit right. Other than that, it's tits.
