well Lee and I finally finished the new box for my prelude, it fit like a glove and it hits hard as hell, look for both of us at the car show this weekend in the Thump off... Ill let Lee explain the "technical" stuff since he is the brains behind it

In short, its a horn shaped/flared dual-vented enclosure.
Get a pic of the completed piece in your trunk. Looks sick with those two subs starin' at ya.

I've never heard a measured system, so I don't know what (for example) 140db's sounds like, to compare to or aim for.
It is significantly louder, though.
It's funny, this design was first drawn up around Dec. 15th and we just finally got it done.

Looking good! I'm probably doing my custom Audio from Central Customs. (Doing a set up similar to BJ's but not quite...)

What was the desire for this box? SQ, SPL, or a mix?
If SPL,
Why is so small? Is that the biggest that it could be made?
And if this is your first competition, it will be fun. (I haven't been to one in probably 3-4 years.) I sorta miss it.

Good mix of SPL and SQ. You know, for musicality, but still be able to thump really good and be impressive.
We have another box, sitting in his garage, but I f'd up and we couldn't fit it in the car. This was the largest we could make, and still have it removeable without needing to disassemble anything.

Ha! Did you keep the box? I build a 1.8 cubic foot ported box for my G/F's convertible Mustang that fits perfect and still gives you room for a set of golf clubs. Tuned at 48hz, sounds good and is very responsive. I put a 12" diamond audio D3 dual 2 ohm sub in it wired in parallel to 1 ohm. I have a diamond audio D3800.1 monoblock amplifier powering it. Sounds good!

Juan, that one's in your garage, with your RF's. It's 3 feet wide, too wide for my trunk. I've still got mine back there, with my two 10's, and your HU.
I've got an SPL idea, though, that I need to draw up and show you.
