What color combo?
Mileage?
Ever been laid down?
Any flaws?
Have service records?
When was the last time the valve lash was set?
Any mods?
How are the tires?

Thanks

Damnit, everyone has Hondas and Suzukis. Where are the Yamahas and Kawasakis?? Hondas are nice bikes but I just can't see myself owning anything with a Honda badge. :) And I just don't personally care for the front of the newer GSXRs. I'm holding out for either a Yamaha or Kawasaki.
I know of a 2000 R6 that needs some cosmetic fixes for $2000. Plus a 2001 R1 that needs most of the plastic replaced for $3000. I'm leaning towrads the R1, but if it's too much of a hassle then I'll end up with the R6.

I would go with the R1, even if it needs every bit of plastic replaced, you would still get it for cheeper than you would new, and the plastic's are not hard to change.

The R1 is my dream bike, especially in Liquid Silver.
The plastic isn't too much of a concern as far as changing it over myself. The dealer wants almost $3K for all the plastic, though I don't yet know what all it needs till I see it for myself. I checked Ebay but I can't find anything with all the plastic, rather just a piece here and a piece there. I would want to buy everything in one lump sum and prepainted.
$3K for the bike plus another couple grand or so to get it fixed equals the price of a newer bike in better shape, imo.
