I tried to upload a pic (.png 1.85 KB [1,899 bytes]) and it told me
THE FOLLOWING ERROR(S) WERE FOUND
The requested file upload failed. This is either because it was not in the correct format, or the file size was larger than that allowed. Please check the file you wish to upload and try again.

Tibby said the site was down a few days ago and I cant seem to even log into the Server to upload or delete some new/expired games.

Not sure if Triepsyn knows what is going on or if they are just doing repairs/mods to the server.

we got an email yesterday from Steve saying that he had a small melt down but he's resolving the issues. I noticed there is some new software installed on the server as the log in screen is different.

Altho I cannot log in, its still nice to see new software :D
I cannot FTP to the forum/site either which makes me just a little paranoid but I'm possitive the forum Databases will not be harmed. If I were to backup the database in its entirety as often as I backup the forum files, it would take forever. Converting the SQL Database into a ZIP and downloading it has never been done by me yet as my computer locks up after 10 hours Before it EVEN BEGINS to download the file.

If you think this is bad, just think about the Performance Probe members who cannot even see the forum. (altho I dont know if it is still up or not)

Best of luck Steve.

We'll let ya slide this time, but if it happens again........

now that we have server access back, I've gotten rid of those flakes and uploaded a couple games.

I havent found the source of the upload glitches yet but I think its a server based software issue where it is looking for a cache that isnt defined. Since they've obviously updated server software or modules, it is possible some caches have changed values and or locations and the forum is still searching for a fixed cache that doesnt exist.

Tina, I need to you tell Steve that he needs to look at the following code

Warning: opendir(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/home/httpd/vhosts/nwaimports.com/httpdocs/forums/html/avatars) is not within the allowed path(s): (/var/www/vhosts/nwaimports.com/httpdocs:/tmp) in /var/www/vhosts/nwaimports.com/httpdocs/forums/sources/Usercp.php on line 3039

Warning: opendir(/home/httpd/vhosts/nwaimports.com/httpdocs/forums/html/avatars): failed to open dir: Operation not permitted in /var/www/vhosts/nwaimports.com/httpdocs/forums/sources/Usercp.php on line 3039

Warning: readdir(): supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource in /var/www/vhosts/nwaimports.com/httpdocs/forums/sources/Usercp.php on line 3045

Warning: closedir(): supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource in /var/www/vhosts/nwaimports.com/httpdocs/forums/sources/Usercp.php on line 3077
regarding open_basedir restriction. I believe he will need to "adjust the php open_basedir configuration" to allow this action to occur. It is also looking for the httpdocs:/tmp

Thanks

Steve

Yes, minor meltdown last weekend which ended up with a lot of new software and a few configuration changes. I made the necessary changes to the forum here, so your uploads are now working (as far as I can see) as well as the GD functions. For now, I would assume the directory change was the cause of the mass majority of the problems. Let me know if there are any others.

BTW, I do backups once a week of this forum, so in the event of an actual disaster, there would be minimal loss. Last week's problem was not too severe, so I was able to get all the data restored with no loss. :D
