ask arround on saturday nights....

That was mean.
Don Juan
Feb-8th-06, 2:08 pm
haha i wasnt trying to be mean, just ask arround on the weekends to whoever u want to race, its not going to be to big organized racing like "TFTF"

Feb-8th-06, 2:10 pm
Its happened before, back in the day. Well, a few times anyway.
5point_Slow
Feb-8th-06, 2:13 pm
ah yes i seem to remember a cop coming down the road and it is lined up with cars on both sides
and the cop say : yall having fun
us: yup
cop: being safe?
us:yup
cop: good just don't block my road.
*cop drives off*
i know what you mean about big organized racing . but for as big as this area is ,it shouldn't be that hard to find some races.
i'm not a big fan of F&F movies but i do like to race and have fun drifting. it just kinda suck when no one else wants too .
Don Juan
Feb-8th-06, 2:18 pm
im sure there are a lot of people that will race, but only cuz you dont see it doesnt mean it doesnt happen, just ask arround and see where you go from that, just dont make it a big thing, then the wrong people will find out, by making threads like this, you attrack the wrong people
damn dude chill, i ment for this thread to bring back a little to the scene. when i use to go to tulsa (when i lived in muskogee) it was off the hook from 11pm till 3am .
non stop races and just people hanging out talking about cars. that scene is the reason for forums like these.
Don Juan
Feb-8th-06, 2:26 pm
i know what you mean, im not trying to be mean, just realistic, im from L.A. i know how the shit is over there, here is completely different, even from Tulsa, I and many others have tried to do the same thing, sometimes people hype up, but when its time to race, everyone chickens out, this place isnt ready for that yet, simply becasue there arent enough cars/drivers to do it, thats why I hardly ever show up, its not the same as it has been 2-3 years ago
true but there are alot of people interested in hanging out and talking and racing , but no one there to represent the import community,,,,, i just think there should be more organized gatherings like the bbq and car nights and stuff.
Calihan Mountain is good, but there are too many houses around it and a deep ditch to mess up the car West Wagon Wheel Road (No speed Limit posted up and Haven't seen a cop there yet...Practice) or behind Calihan Mountain are always fun. Those are my favorite places to practice gripping. ;) My suspension actually does good..I just need sticky tires. There's some spots only a few knew. They're all in Springdale by my house.
show me friday or saturday night , i found a few in the hills of fay-ville.

U guys should have went with us last weekend to Little Rock. Straight up racing all night, no bullshit. I was like a kid in a candy store!
The only bad thing about these roads I listed, there is alot of straight aways, very little corners for your S14 to go Drifting on.

Please tell me you aren't serious.
I take it you have never driven in any of the numerous mountain roads up here?
I would hate to think you haven't, but have you never been on the pig trail?
P.S.
Drifting is stupid and gay.
I'm not Serious. Happy?
I'll be honest with you and say I don't practice that much, and Be honest that I have never been on any major mountain road up here, and have never been on Pig Trail. I think hallet would be much funner than Pig trail, even way much funner than the roads I pratice gripping on. (While I make special Trips..not that often.) Knowing that Hallet is pretty Safe with everything, I might just head up there very soon.
It's your opinion on Drifting...whatever you say, Buddy. ;)

wheres the pigtrail at?? id like to take a drive. i dig the drive to eureka springs, so itd probably be pretty fun.
as for drifting, ehhh its not that bad. id much rather see cars out there doing that than running left turns in nascar. plus, some of the japanese drivers are hilarious. very good performers imo.

I've never Driven to Eureaka Springs, but I was with Bobby and Dave was with CJ when they were cruising pretty fast through there one afternoon. That's about the only time I've ever heard CJ's Tires Ever bark, and the only time I heard Bobby say "Oh shit!" on a really sharp turn.

No it's not, the pig trail is the old way to get to Little Rock before they built I540. Lots of hair pins and steep in some places. It's been a long time since i've been that way, but if you decide to go bring a buddy or you may get stranded.

When I go that way it is always on 94 and 62. I get some nice long straits on 94 and then all the crazy hillside switchbacks closer to Eureka Springs. This is making me miss driving the Barracuda, I'm depressed now. :goodbye:

Hwy 23.
Another great road that I have driven numerous times is Hwy 7 from Hot Springs to Centerville. That road is amazing.

I don't like NASCAR either.
But the reason I don't like drifting and the reason I don't like NASCAR are not the same. I don't enjoy NASCAR because its too monotonous for me and wrecks don't make me happy like it does to NASCAR fans for whatever reason.
I hate drifting because it is being pawned off in the same fashion as Ice Skating. Your score comes from the opinions of humans not from a set system (i.e. scoring a goal or a time that you achieved.)

Actually the best part of HWY 7 is between Ola and Lake Nimrod
I used to live in Russelville and grew up in Hot Springs so I know that road like the back of my hand and could drive it blindfolded ;)
HYW 23 is the "Pig Trail", begins/ends at I40 at Ozark.
HWY 71 is the old road to I40 which has now been by passed by I540.
A nice cruise this spring would be down old 71 from Fayetteville to the new Lake Ft. Smith park for brown bag lunch.
We'll look in to that once spring time gets here.

Problem with the road between Rutville and Ola is five O. State boys to be exact. Really gotta watch your speed. I remember back when the OLA cops would sit right at the city limits where the speed dropped from like 55 to 45 to 25 BAM ticket time. Never got me because I knew they would alway be there, bastards.
I don't EVER recall seeing a cop past Ola though, you could and still can haul ass on 7 between Ola and HS Village. I don't go that way any more because when I go down to HS I've usually got passengers and or dogs in the car. My ole' dog is OK with the twisties but the wife and her dog and now kids...
Ahhh the good ole days when I had a 95 Maxima and could really get out there and drive it. Years later, trucks, SUV's, shit I don't even have a car now, I drive the wifes Pilot, occasionally one of the Z's. Being grown up sucks some times. But I am shopping for a new/used car right now, won't be long before I'll have my own ride again.
