alright im at it again.... Ive still been in the hunt for a truck to buy and replace the prelude. And I think I might have found the right truck, I wanted performance, 4-doors and some luxury, I was looking at the mark LT (which is the same as the new F-150's just different badges) but it just wasnt my style.... Well I saw the following car and fell in love with it....

its a 2000-2003 F-150 harley davidson edition

Ive seen them on the street before but never actually looked into it till now, here are some quick facts...

5.4L supercharged 340hp V8 w/ 425 tq

9.0:1 compression

3.55 X 4.16 bore x stroke

4500 towing capacity

and it does the 1/4 arround 14.5-15.0

Does anyone have any experience with these trucks or have heard anything bad/good about them? Im learning up on them, but it would be nice if there are any of you guys with experience or what not with it...

I have to say I'm not much of a truck person but those Harley Davidson F150's look really nice. $20k isn't too bad of a price for the one you're looking at. I'd say go for it. Good luck. :2thumbsup:

I don't believe all had the supercharger. I've driven one and really liked it. The leather in there is tuf!!! I didn't wind up getting one due to the price at the time.

Now I could afford one but I'm car shopping, 4 doors, something that wife can drive too, and can put kids in the back.

They are pretty sweet. A 4 door lightning. They, just like the lightnings, can be made pretty quick easily. Plus it is pretty damn simple to get 500whp out of it. :) And yes not all had the blowers on them, only the older ones did. I think the newer ones may have had a powerstroke in them I could be wrong on that though it may just be a triton v10 or something stupid.

I would get me a new Cummins if I was in the market for a truck :)

well fuck..... the truck that I wanted is sold already :rant:

I did however get the OK from the bank and my insurance said that it will only go up $11 a month for full cover compared to my prelude... so all i have to do now is find another one

ohhhh and i have to convince the wife, BUT she did say that i need a bigger car, so hell yes!

as far as moding it, the K&N CAI is proven to give an extra 15-20 WHP, not bad for a $200 mod, ill probably chip it and raise the boost, if possible

Over priced. You can MAKE a K&N CAI with just the purchase of the cone. You're a sucker if ya pay that for it

Chip, pulley, exhaust, intake. That will get you making some very good power (450-500 at the wheels)

yea, im "starting" to learn to be more patient, my monthly payments will go from 290 from the prelude to 500 with the truck, i can still make payments, but its probably wiser to wait till i pay off the prelude then sell it, but if the perfect truck comes up, im getting it

Man, I love the HD F150!!! Go for it! :2thumbsup: Trucks can be fast, but in my experience they turn like shit (especially above 50 in the wet). Have you tried looking on eBay? Good luck with the truck.
