HMM. . . TAKE A 01' COBRA WITH A 100 SHOT VS A 01' SUPERCHARGED CAMARO SS WITH A PULLEY AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS. . . HOW MUCH ARE NEW COBRAS AGAIN? THATS WHAT I THOUGHT, PUT THE DIFFERENCE IN THE CAMARO PRICE FOR PRICE AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.

That's why you just put the extra dollar or two into a Vette. Z06 pwns 03 Cobra all day stock for stock.

the only reason i would buy a vette is because it is faster / a lot lighter . . . besides that . . . many people say that the f-bod's look "faster" than the (C5) corvette.

Whats you talking about?
Both these cars have power......Cobra has maybe 70hp over stock and the Camaro we will say has about 90hp over stock because not all makers of nitrous kits rate their hp gains at the wheels.
I dont see john why you would compare other two cars......made no sense to me....
BTW I've seen maybe vids and I know for a fact that '03 cobra and z06 are almost dead even.

Well, Vette will ALWAYS have a higher resale value than the Cobra plus I'm going with it's more reliable then the cobra as it's not SC'ed and I've seen too many of the 4.6's that didn't like boost and popped. I also think the Vette's are classier, but that's just opinion.
As far as the MSRP arguement goes, you can't apply that really as a fair argument. The forced induction vs N/A is a fair comparison but if we were to start comparing MSRP then what do you have to say about a freakin Neon, or Civic? $10K+ in one of those and bye bye stang AND camaro.
That's all I have to say.

I agree. So is the MSRP argument. The N/A vs Forced Induction isn't because that's the difference in the race but MSRP isn't.

John why you showing him the ugliest mustang and the hottest chevy?
The Cobra has a built engine and can handle upwards of 1000hp.....the 4.6 is one of the most reliable engines made. Look at po po cars and cabs? 200+ K miles? yeah.
and Imma say The cobra would win with the s/c and nitrous but stock for stock the Cobra still wins giving that both cars have same drivers.
and on the prices......The cobras dont ever go for 37k.....most go for around 33k. and We'll say the SS goes for 29k sure.....but with the cobra what are you getting? Built engine, superior handling, supercharger, ect. ect. and how much would a SS/T-A go for with those extra add-ons......hmm....50k possibly? yeah. I'd take the Cobra anyday.
But thats the diff. Johns all out GM, Im all out Ford. Thats just our differences.

 Last time I checked Cops had GM engines in their Caprices, Crown Vics, and Impalas. Doesn't even matter because non of them are supercharged and THAT'S what compromises the reliability of the 03 Cobra.

Did you read where I said Built engine? means its stronger than stock and made to handle the added boost. we'll see in a few years what kinda miles people are getting on them I guess.

Dosnt the Stock C5 run in the 12.9-13.2 range???
Z06's run in the mid 12's if i believe.
Well as far as reliability im not too fond of either. But I would assume that the LS1/LS6 is a more reliable engine vs. the Ford SC 4.6L.

MM&FF ran a 12.43 with a stock 03 cobra. The only drive fords and mostly stangs tho so they have an advantage over most test drivers with the driving style of the mustang. I do like the gas milage on an LS1 tho
Horsepower: 390 bhp @ 6000 rpm
There very under rated. There really pushing more like 425. Too bad they dont lift the wheels off the ground :( Must be why everytime someone asks me why i said something stupid i tell them i drive a ford..........

Yes, the 03 Cobra is underrated. So is the LS1.
Just like you see some Cobra's running 12.43's stock, there are F-bods pulling 12.9-12.8's stock. (That's with a 100 less HP too.) Therefore if a "rated 320 HP", heavy F-bod can pull those times, what would the much lighter, more powerful Z06 be capable of? I believe LS1's average around 280-290 RWHP for the autos and around 300 RWHP for the 6 spd. The LS6 averages around 360-370 RWHP.

Theres only been 1 Fbody to pull a 12.9 stock, and it had K&N so it technically wasnt even stock. The fastest all stock ran a 13.2.

Cobra. More common, easier/cheaper parts, plus the girlies love Mustangs. I actually would just suggest a GT Mustang or even a V6 if she's on a lower budget.
The 'Vette is cool if she has the money for upkeep.. :D
Although the interior of the V6 camaro is much more durable and nicer altogether.. Depends on what different aspects of a car she's looking tentively for.. :)
