Found this online today while looking for a Tool air freshner, but, I thought it was funny..

A little late for Valentines' Day.. But I figured BDP would get a kick out it..

FEATURE
Yep, it's that time of year already. The time where Hallmark makes a small fortune while jewelers and florists thrive. My roommate has dubbed it "National Singles Awareness Day," but in reality it's just Valentine's Day.

And now the age-old question comes up: What do I get my geeky boyfriend/girlfriend this year? Yes, this is an actual problem. Most geeks that I know just don't go for the standard flowers, candy, and dinner routine; they want something more interesting, something that would appeal to their geeky nature.

So, in an effort to stave off angry significant others, here is a quick idea list for your Geeky Valentine:

1. Buy him/her his/her own domain name.
A domain name? Doesn't seem that romantic huh? But it is a gift most geeks can use for something, e.g., a topic or interest of theirs that they have been wanting to do something about. And if you can manage it, you can put up an HTML valentine on the domain as a surprise.

2. Visit the local science museum.
Where I live, there is MOSI--Museum of Science and Industry. It has a fun museum part as well as its own IMAX theater.

3. LAN party.
Set up a LAN gaming party with other geeky couples and go nuts.

4. If you and your geek co-habitate and run a network ... consider placing Hershey's Kisses all along the Cat5.
Using the construction paper you have already purchased (for your homemade card) cut out a ton (well, maybe not a ton, but a good 20) hearts, writing on the back of each one one reason why you are so head over heels in love. As you share with your Love these reasons, permit him or her to take one more Kiss along the cable ... until they reach you for one Great Big Kiss. If you are so inclined, make love on the little hearts right there on the floor.

5. Buy your Geek tickets to a symphony, play, rock concert, hockey game or whatever.
The impression of a great show lasts longer than any bouquet of roses ever will.

6. Nothing says "I Love You" to a Geek like hardware ...
... at least to me. Another hard drive, a 3-D card ... You get the picture!

7. Write your Valentine a screensaver or Java applet
chronicling how and why you fell in love with him or her.

8. Burn your Valentine a custom CD
of Love Song MP3s.

9. how about a bouquet of CDs or DVDs
instead of a bouquet of roses?

And finally ...

10. A simple "I Love You, Happy Valentines Day!"
goes a long way.

Happy Geeky Valentine's Day to you all!
