I sold My 93 Probe SE 2.0 to a dude I know who had a GT a while back and knows nothing of cars.

It sat for about a year with a 1/4 tank of 87octane before I sold it.
I put in a battery and it fired right up. I drove it about 2 miles and everything felt normal.

He had it for 2 days and said it just lost power, RPMs dropped and the fuel cutoff light is on now. Any Thoughts?

I was originally thinking it was a cloged fuel line as the fuel was prolly bad or the tank full of debris. Then I though maybe it was a fuel pump relay as the relays are prolly nasty and sticky since they've not been in use but I really have no clue.

i know the GTs have a problem with distys (internal coil to be exact) have him check that. also, check the belts, i dropped one (thank god for the non interference heads lol) and it kinda had the same symptom, make sure it isn't on its last thread of life or something. just my .02.

More than likely a distributor problem, had a 93 SE come in 2 days ago with the EXACT SAME THING...
