ok since there is a thread already started on whos got the fastest in town that's paid for i thought i would start one - who has the fastest car/truck/motorcycle/van bus what ever for the least amount of $. define if it's street legal or not. track times if you have them.

i'll start things off with my 91 gsx. bought for 1200 cash put about another 1500 in it for repairs and ran a 10.9 at centerville last year - street legal at the time.

it is now not legal and being stripped of everything with the lighter is faster theme.

also if anyone has a 14b turbo in good shape let me know. i am going after the fastest 14b powered dsm title. :maliwho:

Hey man. I have a 14b with absolutely zero shaft play and ( I can't really remember) but I don't think it has any cracks in the turbine housing either. The best 14b I have ever seen in person. :) I will sell it to you PM me an offer.

I have way less than that wraped up in my car.. Actually almost all the $$ I have wraped up in my car is all in mods.. I'm not saying the car is god aweful fast because I know the difference between fast / quick.. But lets just say I have suprised a lot of people with this bugger.. Now.. I belive the topic was "most bang for your buck" Therefor I have less $$ wraped up in my car and it's very good bang for my buck.. I bet even if you drove / rode in it you would give it props seeing how "hardcore" you present yourself.. With all that said..

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure this was John's (APurpleIntegra) car. If so it was quick when he had it. He went by me at an intersection in Bentonville, hit third, and had to let off before it quit spinning. He told me he had traction problems.

Never brought it to a track this past fall due to a poping CV axel and issues getting a replacement.. Yes, this is the car that John had.. I've done quite a bit of work to it since he's had it and have noticed nothing but improvements.. As far as weight.. for it's size the car is a pig!

And no recent numbers except for when it was all stock other than an intake it ran a 11.7 in the 1000' on some shitty tires. Its alot faster now and making alot more power. But I never did claim to hold this title just that YOU didn't.

I got the best bang for the buck. My go-kart cost me $800, and ran the 1/8mile dirt oval in 17seconds @55mph (restricted). It had a top speed of 113mph. All with a Briggs&Stratton 5hp engine.

Also.. IMO I think if you have $1600 into a car and your running 13's with it thats very respectable.. And he was running on street tires as well.. you have to take that into consideration..

I've said it before and I'll say it again... if you can run 13's and drive it on the streets... you've got a pretty fast car. Bear in mind that although there are many production cars in the 13's, there are 10x that many that can't break a 16 if you dropped 'em out of a plane.

Yes, that is true, I mean, I spent $10,000 for a Hyundai Plus $80.00 for a cheap CAI, And $20.00 For an Exhaust tip (Don't worry, Getting catback), and $700.00 for suspension, and I'm stil running 17's. :laugh: Heh, it handels corners very well I think, anyways. ;)

Yes, it ran 13's with a 302, but it was for $800 not $1,600. I bought both for $1200 and sold one for $400. :thumbup: This was with a full interior and T-tops BTW.

Anyway, I ended up trading it last year to a guy in NWA for another stang. My current mustang is 11 second capable (hasn't done it yet though) and I should end up with a 10 second bracket car for next season. Doesn't really need to go any faster than that unless you like to do a lot of maintenance between rounds. I'd rather just run em and collect a check at the end of the day. :yes:

13.9 is fast enough, espically for a stock 5.0. imo can't get much better than a 5.0 mustang. (power abilities are insane, can handle awesome, and have imo the best aftermarket ever.)

13 second probes are not really a big deal. the boosted ones w/o being built will run faster than that (2nd gen gts of course) 13s in a first gen is fairly simple as well.
