[1999BMWM5]

So yesterday I'm out driving and I stop for a moment to talk to a lady about her house and her husband runs out and starts drooling all over my car, leaning in the window and just going on and on about how beautiful my car is. I talked with him for 15 minutes and left. Then these two guys on sport bikes rode beside me while giving me thumbs up, nodding and shaking their heads. Then I pulled into a convenience store to get some water and this other guy comes up to me as I'm getting back in my car and he's like 'Wow! Beautiful then he got all speechless and he said "congratulations...on, on your taste". So I thank him for the complimennt and leave. Then about a block away from my house this guy in a Mustang pulls up beside me and yells Daymn! The point of all this is driving slow can feel almost as good as driving fast. :D

My problem is that usually, i get people who say, "what is that?" or have a confused look on their faces. But occasionally, I'll get someone who knows what the heck it is so they compliment. Like saturday night at sonic, i was driving through at like 11 and one guys says oooo merkur i overheard him. then i keep driving and this guy says to his girl, "look that's turbo". hehe, makes me feel good.

What's up with your mod list in your profile? What of that stuff do you actually have, and what is the "future" mods? And why do you say "400+ horsepower after chip tuning and engine upgrades", the 99 M5 has 400 horsepower bone stock.

Sounds like most of his mods are cosmetic anyways. Thus meaning +0 hp. Notice at the bottom how it says "Active Autowerke or Dinan stage 1 or 2 turbo upgrade or Dinan or ESSsupercharger" sounds like that part is a future mods list..

Yeah I noticed that, which is why I asked which were the future mods and which were the ones he has. I just found out though that they didn't even sell the M5 in the US in '99, the 1st year was 2000. They were sold in other countries overseas in '99, so it's possible it's a grey market import, but it would cost as much if not more to do that than to just buy an '00 US M5, and it would be a lot more hassle. That and the fact nobody has actually seen the thing driving around, I don't want to call BS but something is awfully fishy about this. I'll reserve judgement for now, if you're for real I apologize. It's hard to believe someone would BS on a local forum since it's so easy to be called out, but we had it happen on ARImport with that guy who claimed to have a supercharged S2000...

I can understand that.. But on his profile it also says..

So, obviously he's out of the country.. which means that it is ENTIRELY possible that he does own this car.

He's probably in the military or something. My Dad imported a car when he was in the military back in 1991, he said he had no problems and wasn't too expensive either. Military perks rule all. My guess is that the guy is in the military overseas and bought the car. :thumbup:

I, honestly, don't think its BS. But, the fact that he hasn't came back to post is fishy.. But at the same time, if hes in the military and possibly overseas, he might not have time to post. :D
