View Full Version : WTB: Code Alarm Master Module
I'm trying to locate this module as I didnt even notice that I needed it as I have a 530 module thinking it would be compatible with the ca-545 harness and remotes.
If anyone has a CA-425 unit, a code alarm basic car alarm or anything related, let me know.
Currently they run around $40-$50 on ebay.

brandon your posts make me feel dumb. Not because of a lack of intelligence in your post but I fail to understand what you are talking about a lot of the time because it's just over my head.

We can't even order them anymore. I'd say buy one off ebay.
oh yeah, I forgot you guys use to stock and install Code alarm products before the transition to C.C.
Do you know of any "issues" with that ca-425? I've heard that many people have had problems with the unit detecting lower voltages over time and it caused their unit to not properly function and require module reset.
I dont know if these installs were professional or just random electrical tape connections where most likely there are other installs that are causing some parasitic draw from the battery which the module detects.
It wouldnt have been my product of choice as I prefer DEI (personally) but this is for a customer and they wanted a low cost remote start with an LCD screen or some sort of 2-way notification. PLus with the telematics option, they can just call an 800 # and put in a code and have their vehicle start or shutdown if its been stolen.
The main reason was that I had already the CA-545 remotes and wiring kit.
I have a CA-530 I took out of a tradein but it will need a better wiring harness and a couple remotes.
I purchased an AGA1201 as well since it has the window roll up module, and I've never heard of it so I figured I'd try it out. http://aftermarketgeneration.com/catalog/p...bd3866b96f28c7b (http://aftermarketgeneration.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=32&osCsid=f689d735f4e28eed9bd3866b96f28c7b)

yeah we now have Python. It was a mistake to ever go to Code. We've had more problems with those than DEI ever had.
They were just really unpredictable. We've had bad units out of the box and we've had ones last a long time.
now keep in mind with the telematics feature it won't kill the vehicle, just disable the starter next time they try to start it.
oh yeah, I know - but with me installing it I can pretty much make it do whatever I want and its not hard to put an inline N/C relay inline on the ECM/PCM module :D Of course I wouldnt want my vehicle rear ended or driven off a curb so I would just do the starter kill or have a $15 radioshack recorder module that activated a warning or something.
Who knows, thats why I love electricity Weeeeeee
ok, looking once again for a 425. I kinda forgot about this project and now I cant find any modules anywhere :(

Hey my roomie just put some stuff on ebay. There is a brand new Code alarm in the box. I don't remember what model it is. Ask the seller and he will look. You could probably get it cheap.
