Word. I finally got around to putting my ZC in! Thanks to a couple friends... For those of you that don't know, a ZC is a D series 1.6L DOHC non-VTEC motor that was only available in Japan and the UK. Mine is JDM, aka the D16A8/9. 130hp/111ft/lbs. I'm using a crappy DX tranny for now, and I only have basic bolt-ons right now. Key words - "right now"... :)

She looks a bit hungry :)

Thats about it. I don't have a completely finished picture because the swap isn't completely finished lol. I need to trade throttle bodies with Robert and then it'll be able to crank. Hope so anyways...

nice...how long did it take??

The motor itself went in in about half an hour, then all the wiring and splicing took about 5 hours, then I ran into a snag because I need a TB with a MAP sensor on it and the ZC doesn't use a MAP sensor... So its just been sitting in the shop for a couple days... Since then I've put on all of the little stuff and I finally got my hood to latch. It wouldn't close because this motor is barely taller than the SOHCs. I had to shim the mounts in the back lol.

BTW, some of the pictures are kinda blurry because it was low light and I had to keep the shutter on my camera open longer.

1988-1991 Civic/CRX Si (JDM) and I beleive the standard version of the JDM Integra (1986-1989). I'm pretty sure they went to 1.8 for the JDM Integra's for the 2Gs like they did in the US. I looked up the code on the block and mine was actually out of an EF8 JDM CRX that was an automatic .

USDM 1986-1989 Integra - D16A1 - DOHC non-VTEC 1.6L - 109hp
USDM 1990-1993 Integra - B18A1 - DOHC non-VTEC 1.8L - 140hp I think
USDM 1993 Integra GSR - B17A1 - DOHC VTEC 1.7L - dunno hp
USDM 1994-2001 Integra - B18B1 - DOHC non-VTEC 1.8L - 142hp
USDM 94-01 Teg GSR - B18C1 - DOHC VTEC 1.8L - 170hp

I think that should cover the USDM Tegs, I'm not too knowledgeable on the JDM Tegs...

It will hopefully (most likely, but something could always go wrong) be done before then, but I won't insure it or anything until I get EVERYTHING worked out, maybe wait until I get some certain mods done that I want to do :).

I think it would be too much hassle to tow it just for a 1000ft time... I'm waiting for Mokan, and I might take Johnny's Nova for a run too if he goes :).

Yeah, I tried to be as different as I could for building a Honda. Got (and stayed with) the hatchy instead of going to a CRX, and by not going with the B16 which nearly everyone with the money goes for in the EFs. With a little tuning and computer reprogramming, you can have basically a B16 for a thousand less, and a few less headaches. :).

Thanks dood! lol

UPDATE - That MAP throttle body wouldn't bolt onto the ZC intake manifold, so I'm searching for one that will.... THEN, it'll be ready to crank up. :)
