OnTheLoose (NWA and OK) is reorganizing for the season, if you would like to join we have only 3 requirements:
#1. You absolutely MUST have an OnTheLoose sticker somewhere on the outside of the car, you may design your own if you choose but we prefer they are the original design, if you are worried about attention from Police, (which has happened a few times) I dont care if the sticker is 5" long and is black and is along the a-pillar or back window. Small Stickers are $2 and large windshield banner styles are $10, that is at cost, we make no profit
#2 You have to race on the track and/or show AT LEAST once this season (before winter) we will make some exceptions
#3 Jason (i8ayellowcrayon) and I (my name is Patrick BTW) must agree and approve of your admittance, if you are passionate about your car and driving it, and it impresses us we will prob let you in, however we WILL NOT tolerate assholes
some of you may look at some of our rides (such as mine) and think all of them are that crappy, not so, look deeper, Jason has JDM ZC, I am in the process of a Merkur Scorpio engine conversion, also am doing a tranny conversion from a Mitsubishi built to a Mazda built tranny, Gary, his car is being built by HUMBLE in Tulsa, Alex promised Gary enough power (I'm not going to say how much) to make his red "street car" look like a POS on the track, Caleb (if he still wants in) did an engine swap in to his RX-7 almost single handedly, we've got a 328i, our WRX wagon (Zino) last year at sallisaw ran the same times as Sams S2k, with a bunch of heavy parts, a backpack, sack of potatos and the spare in the back of the wagon, we've got a Ranger like mine with a 5.0, there are other people i'm not going to mention (this is already waaaay longer than I intended)
but we're not saying that you have to have an awesome car, a really fast car, or even technical mods, in order to join, just ask and we'll get back to you, we have some pretty simple rides as well......
as far as EVENTS go:
April 10th: our first get-together of the season, we are going to Russelville to meet up with some guys from RPS (www.rangerpowersports.com) and the going to Centerville to race, and then afterwards cruising the strip there in "RussVegas"
June 5th: I know for sure we are going to be going to the Import Shootout at Mo-Kan, hopefully by then we will have grown some more and I'm gonna try to get some T-Shirts etc made up
we're gonna try to hit up some sunday fun drags and other tournaments throughout the summer, also we'll prob tow Gary's HB to places like Tulsa, OKC, and Springfield, we're really wanting to have quite a few cookouts as well
If this sounds interesting to you let me know-
