Freaky thing happened yesterday... My car started to stumble at boost around 5 - 6 PSI right after I left the exhaust shop to get a few more hangers put on my pretty new 2 1/2" exhaust system due to some rattleing.. Before that she was boosting at 10 PSI very strong w/o any problems.. I let the car sit for a little while and hoped in for a quick trip to the store.. It was boosting pretty normal but seemed weak at top end just a hair and then stumbles on it's face again as soon as it warms up.. I'm hoping that the fact that the exhaust shop was welding on my car w/o un hooking the battery did not mess up the ECU at all.. But I know / hope this is just like last time and I'll replace the spark plugs and be on my merry way back at normal boost..

BLAH!.. Nothing I did has solved this problem yet.. replaced plugs, dist cap, rotor, plug wires are pretty new and they're NGK wires... Checked out the TPS.. it ain't bad.. Think it's a fuel delivery issue.. I'm going to replace the fuel filter and the strainer in the gas tank and see if that cures the problem...

If that don't do it theres only 2 other options.. Bad knock sensor.. or the fact that seeburg welded the new hangers on my car w/o unhooking the batt caused a surge to the ECU and freaking it up!!

The thought of it being a fuel issue stems from the fact that it started acting up toward an empty tank.. Theres a possibility that there was some shit in the tank that got cought up in the strainer or fuel filter causing it to starve for fuel and cause my issue..

-just thinking out loud in this thread.. lol

sounds like a fuel problem to me too. the ECU fry is possible, but not likely. if they did fark up the ECU, then they have to pay for it.

why don't you just take the ecu out and see if anything has melted/leaking? What kind of car is this?

check all the intake lines....there could be a leak ;)

also check the gapping ofthe plugs...sometimes it helps to lessen the gap because of boost.....

just a thought

Eh, it's all fixed now :)) ... There was un metered air entering after the MAF, Stitty gas in the tank, a cloged fuel filter, and the cap / rotor were were shit...

All this happened out of the blue.. the car ran fine and then was a slug out of no where.. it was weird..
