I had a really good time this morning in my sleepy slumber, reading a post made on another car forum about a girl with a "264whp MX-6" with only computer mods and the stock air box removed. HAH! First off, she sure talked a mean game, I'll say that. "I'll get up on the dyno anyday".. "I'll race any of you motherf_ckers" the typical, shit talk. Yeah, okay. When I see it, I'll believe it.
I'll quote what she said..

GOD DAMN! listen you freakin' morons...i don't care what you think i have under my hood...it's a 93 jspec mx6. it's been tuned and the computer reprogrammed. it redlines at 8500. it's a 5 speed. it's got strut bars. the air box was removed and a big cone filter slapped on. only mods. it was dyno'd in tulsa after my fiancee bought it in september, and came out 264 at the front wheels. and i will race any of you mother fvckers when i get the damn cv axles fixed and the new tires put on the front. so shut your mouths, and start your engines, cause i'm not afraid of any of you.
AND YES! here comes the fun part, get ready to call me full of sh!t. i was IN THE CAR when josh (he has a god damn first name, quit calling him gillham) raced the shaggy haired boy in the maroon rag top c5 vette on rogers up that hill by arby's and we smoked his ass. he got mad and said he was going home to get his ferrari or lambo or something. we outran the orange W6 firebird/trans am/whatever it is that Jared Alford drives. we beat the silver Sentra SE-R that Brian Jones used to own by 7-8 car lengths. the freaking reason Josh ran 13's in it at c'ville is because of the crappy tires and the bad cv axles. this caused him to spin the tires all the way through 1st gear and then mostly through 2nd, and also he's not the greatest racer. it was his first time on the drag strip using a 5 speed and he was nervous. i'm sorry to say that i am a much better racer than him...so anyways. another thing...i will be glad to get on the dyno any day
*sigh* i'm only gonna say this one more time. it's not my car, it's my fiancee's. the car was the way it is now when he bought it. the computer is reprogrammed and could have a chip in it, hell if i know, i don't even know if they make one for it. it's not like we've taken the motor apart and inspected it. for all i know it could have aftermarket parts in that motor we don't even know about. all i know is this motor is not stock. it redlines at 8500 rpm's, it can outrun a corvette, a ws6 trans am, blah blah blah. i never said it was a stock klze motor. and i know what it feels like to drive a 200 hp car and i'm gonna tell ya right now. this car has way more than 200 hp. my fiancee said it dyno'd at 264 and i believe HIM more than i believe any of you people cause number one he's my fiancee and wouldn't lie to me about it anyways and number two i've driven the car plenty of freakin' times so i know for myself and truely that is all that matters, that he and i are happy with the car and we know the real power it has. ask the white boy who drives the red prelude si 5 spd w/exhaust, it was pretty fun, he raced me on rogers one day and i took off in 2nd gear, and he couldn't stay by my side, not even from take-off. but he was NICE ENOUGH after the race to pull up next to me and nod and smile. i just wish you people would stop hating on me cause i have a fast car and i'm proud of it. this wouldn't have gotten started anyways if the mike guy had not been rude to me at home depot when i was just trying to make conversation about the mx6's. i thought maybe i'd get a new friend out of it but he was rude to me instead, then he made the smart comment in the denny's thread...i guess that's just how some people are towards girls who like their cars...and i'm sorry it has to be that way, and guys treating me like this isn't going to make me go away, cause i have more friends here than enemies and i don't really give a crap about the negative opinions anyways!
oh and if anyone needs aluminum head work done, i used to be one of the 3 best aluminum head builders at my dad's cylinder head shop on phoenix ave. @ fliteline motors here in fort smith for 2 years...i also took auto mechanics classes in college. just a little fyi.

Well.. For starters, I'll point out something right off the top. The stock MX-6 LS (2.5L V6 DOHC) produces 164hp, coincidence that she raised it a mere 100hp over the stock numbers? After all, it is basically stock..
Second, she claims she has a KLZE (J-Spec). I will give her the benefit of the doubt as these are rated at 200hp. I will add, 200hp is correct if you're using 108 octane. I seriously, doubt, she is using 108 octane. If she is using the 91-93 octane, she's probably only rating at 175hp, a mere 11hp over the A-spec.
She claims she's running 13's, yeah, okay. :P Maybe mid-to-high 15's, afterall, that is the stock rated 1/4 avg (15.8/15.7). And she did say it is just running a reprogrammed ecu and removing the stock air box.
I'll tell you right now, guys with 1st gen PGT's are running 11's & 12's, and these are highly modified cars. I will add, 1st gen GT's are 2-sec's faster, right from the top. Plus they are 2.2L cast-iron TURBO, they are not a naturally aspirated aluminum V6. The first gen GT's are overall stronger, better running vehicles.
This part just may be me being picky, but if you've got such a "rad", "badass", "Speed machine", wouldn't you take care of those CV axles and tires better than that? I think she's using it as a crutch to simplify her reasoning for not wanting to race, as she so claimed she was "ready to do". Yeah, okay. Take care of the maintenance first and foremost, kid.

Heres some stats for you, Aaron is running a '93 Probe GT (Same motor, tranny, everything as the MX-6 LS (Which is the V6, she might have the 2.0L 4cyl though :P )... He is running 14.9 @ 91.8mph... And look at his list of mods..
CM Stage 1, Fidanza FW, UR Underdrive pulley, RR-Racing STS, RR-Racing poly motor mounts, CAI, PS Headers, Test Pipe, Ported Manifold, 2.25" exhaust with Borla Pro XS, FSTB, B-pillar bar, PRD RSB, Dropzone Coilovers
Yeah, thats a helluva lot more than a cone air filter and reprogrammed ecu. And what was his time? 14.9. Hers is in the "13's" you say.. I think not sherlock, my friend.. I think not..
