So I was looking around on Ebay for some LED's for some vehicle applications and after hours I lost intrest and randomly started searching for crap to spend money on as usual.

I looked around for XMod stuff for my Skyline and was supprised at the stuff on Ebay.
These Photos are Clickable Links to Ebay

"I call it "THE BIG BLOCK V-12" Stage 20 motor which I personally derive the analogy from Ferrari's or Lamborhini's Exotic Cars and even Lamborghini's Tractor Big Block Motors that are used in Europe, to get the most POWERFUL TORQUE and Speed there is!! To one's state of mind of a real analogy, its a lot more powerful than like: Dodge Hemi Motors, the simple Big Block V-8's, V-10's, Rotary Engine's or simply the traditional 4 Bangers!! This is also the same analogy of like putting a Big Block V-12 in a Mazda Miata, morphing it up to be a Psychotic Beast!"

"Yes!! Its finally finally here..With NO RESERVE, The Ultimate Final Speed Conclusion of a 7 CELL XMOD(6 AAA battery power with TWIN TURBO Mini-MOSFET Power Integration): Honda Civic(it's either black or blue) Super Dragster to conquer all Xmods competition anytime, any place and anywhere!! "

(Non-Clickable) Actual Carbon Fiber Chassis!!!!

And Much Much more crap.
Whats funny about that first guy with the V-12 dragster is that its just a larger motor - Oooh Big deal..

And the Tubo FETs? Cant fool me... Those are Just small Field Effect Transistors that control Amperage and such for the actual motor drive circuit. You can most likely purchase them yourself at Radioshack. (Their part # is A1793) I dont know the Specs on the Xmods but I do know, in order to run more than a few Amps to the motor, you'll need to piggy-back a couple more onto the stock chips. Both FETs will only allow the motor 2 amps, if you piggy-back them you could handle 4 or possibly more depending on the chips. Check motor Amperage before installing random motors!

Xmods can handle 8.3-8.4Volts without toasting (incase someone might wanna know)

The Carbon Fiber Chassis and drive shaft... You have to drill your holes yourself pretty much - looks like a waste of time. Drive shaft? I dont have AWD, so I just made my own pinion gear holder and got rid of that crap shaft all together, plus the Carbon fiber will only save you like 4 or 5 grams  .
I also took apart my differential and "welded" my spider gears to make Full-Time Posi :D

Please Note: If you work on your Xmod, please DO NOT touch the Antenna Wire to any Electronic or metal component. This could "toast" your receiver circuit!!!
If anyone has this problem I can most likely help fix it if needed.

Xmods do like 6 or 8 MPH get over it.
I just thought those were funny and I would share my findings with you all. If you dont care then so beit

Peace

<_< depends on who your refering to

:D

I thought I would play around with mine tonight so I started tearing it down around 8pm or so.. Added some more power to get to the 8volt barrier and the stupid ESC (Electronic Speed Control) isnt sending voltage to the motor at all. I've been searching forums for a couple hours but no luck as usual. Guess I'll goto bed and throw it out the door :D

alright... ripway.com

I don't have the photoshop trial on my computer anymore, so I don't have anything
to de-interlace pictures right now (they were taken with a video camera... that's all
i had at the time). But you still get the general idea.

I had to grind out the fender wells and the little door posts on the inside of the model body
to make the wheels fit. Also had to make some little aluminum brackets to hold the body
on (you can see those in the last pictures).
I got really bored that week.

btw. the body is diecast... the car is very very slow now

i guess they are about 1/4" offset but they're like an inch wide...
that was my biggest problem... they were too wide

[edit] i also had to narrow the front tires a little to make it turn (lathe )

I think maybe that site thing was a bad idea, 5 megs seems reasonable for a few pictures tho.... maybe we just need not to put 2meg MP3's on there :D
