So was it like a crash-test deal that just went really wrong or what?
I just wondered why they were video taping it...
It doesn't seem like it would have been planned to happen like that.

well the venge is up and running...waiting on insurance and new stickers on the tags....ooh and can anyone help me with my blinker problem...someone that knows the ins and outs of wiring preferably...its all screwed up if i got my car on...so is my left blinker....the right one dont work and the left one wont shut off...any ideas ya'll?
The photo sig thing was off of a website somewhere, there is a much larger - actual video somewhere online (sleeper showed it to me once)
I think it was either a rental car or a company vehicle... the actual video shows the guy nodding off a few times and finally he nodded off for like 20 seconds or something and woke up while loosing control.... It was kinda funny cause I have fallen asleep and woke up when I felt the side of the road :D
Must really been a good camera tho, since it never broke signal
Juggalo, Just got your message, I've been pre-occupied the last week or so.... I would be glad to check it out, just finding time is the hard part. I dont have your number anymore but when I get it again, I will call you and setup some time or something. It sounds like it is in the steering column to me tho. Is this the same issue you told me about before?
Get a price quote on a new turn signal (Multi-function) switch from A-Zone or The big "O" just in case it could be bad!

yeah i called the big "O" and the switch is 120 bucks...the problem before is i had no blinkers at all...i found out i forgot to plug in the hazard harness to the hazard button...i plugged that in and vouala hazards...so i decide to check mah blinkers out...i turn on the car...and the left blinker is on...i think i must have bumped it screwing around with the dash...flicked it to the off position...nuthin still blinkin left...flipped it to the right side...nuthin still blinkin to the left...im pretty sure if it was just the switch being bad my gauge lights would still work....they dont work when i turn on the headlights...bout the only lights that do work are the ones in the cabin when i open the door and mah headlights...tail lights and brake lights...some weird shyt goin on in mah ride man
So let me try to make sense of this...
You get in the car with it off = nothing is on but the dome light.
You can turn on the headlights and all marker lights and headlights work?
Does the cluster illumination lamps work?
You turn the car to "run" with the headlights off = the left blinker will flash.
Does the signal lamp on the cluster panel light with the blink?
You then turn on the hazards and both green cluster signals flash and all marker lamps flash?
Is this accurate? Do you have to apply substantial pressure to the signal lever? Does it feel broken or torqued to tight?
Do you have a knob style headlamp switch or a rocker style? Does the headlamp switch have the dome light controls and/or cluster illumination dimmer on itself?
I would need a schematic of the muti-purpose/blinker control switch, to understand the wiring. It could be in the steering column - a short, or the switch itself. You could possibly have some sort of Lamp Control Module as well but most generally those are on luxury sedans with digital insturment clusters.
I imagine you have checked all the fuses? The headlamp circuit would be seperate from the signal circuit anyhow. The headlamp would supply voltage to the running lights and interior illumination (usually a orange or green sometimes brown wire w/black stripe). It would send the same current to the dimmer switch via brown or white wire and then to the cluster lamps. If the cluster lamps and climate control lamps do not illuminate, it could be either in the switch or a short in the running lights (but the running lights would not light).
The Blinker control should be just 3 or 4 wires going down the column. (2) wires, one for each side of the car - and a hazard blinker wire. Power goes to the blinker can under the dash and then goes up a wire to the blinker control switch. There it is stationary and the 2 wires for (each side of the car) will come in contact with it when selecting left or right.
The Blinker and Marker lamps will be grounded to the frame and the hot wire will lead to the switch then to the blinker can.
Never mind, you prolly dont understand anywho.
I will just come check it out sometime.
