I had to put this on here because it was so ZEN for me.
When I was stationed in El Paso, TX a few years ago, I had a '90 Acura Legend, the 2dr coupe, that I fixed up. It was the V6, which after about 5 or 6 grand in mods (some was in the body), was a very fast car. I always wanted to Turbo that thing.... :shiftingfun:
Anyways, this morning, on the way to work, I got the chance to race one. The exact same car, V6 and all. Believe it or not, I was actually thinking he would have had me. Now this wasn't a case of me just taking off fast and pretending it was a race..we both went full-on. Well, I got him on the take off and he pretty much just set up camp with his front bumper lined up with my rear, and we finished what had to be more than a qtr-mile like that. I was blown, the freak, away. Now, I don't know if he had an auto (mine was a stick) or if he just didn't drive good, but I was almost expecting him to pull ahead, atleast down the road. :shiftingfun:
Anyways, I was pretty stoked about it and I thought I could put this on here.
Like I said, it was kind of zen for me.
:shiftingfun:
Have I mentioned that I FREAKIN' LOVE this smiley??!!

It is pretty crazy, I mean how often do you come across a car exactly like one you used to own (that is not a mainstream speciality ie Civic or Mustang)? Sounds like a stroke of good luck...

What ever happened to your '90 Legend, anyways? :surp:

I scraped off the passenger side on a wall... :shiftingfun:
I was racing an Integra on I-10 and we were on the way to a club on Paisano Ave.
Well, I wasn't paying attention to where we were and all of a sudden, the Paisano exit is about 50yrds away. I was in the far left lane (out of 4) and, instead of sensibly going to the next exit and turning around, I tried to cut the lanes and hit the exit about 110mph.
Well, not only did the exit cut left, which I was ready for, but it also had a bit of a quick drop to it and, at 100mph, my car, for some reason or another, lost contact with the ground. :surp: It just so happen to be we were airborne when the exit did that left scoop, so I hit the curb sideways, jumped it, and ran along the wall on the right side. I rode that wall until about 55 or 60, when I felt comfortable with jumping back over the curb. You can imagine what the pass. side of the car looked like, but oddly enough, the curb split both the pass. wheels, about half way between the rim and the lugs, but the tires held it together. I went ahead and drove to the club and to my friends house, where, the next day, we found that a crack in the oilpan, caused by the curb-jumping, had grown quite a bit. Both tires had lost their composure. :(
Well, unfortunately, I had sunk so much into that car that I had no credit left to repair it. Eventually, I sold it to a friend that came back from Saudi with a fat bankroll, so he could fix it back up.
:victory: I ROCK!!!
Fortunately, I think I've grown a bit since then. ;)

Tentatively (emphasis here), we are wanting to get a Trueno AE86, basically, the one right off of Inital D.
Realistically, I wouldn't mind having either a Sylvia or a 180sx. I know I want full on JDM, including RHD.
Jon (aka, my cousin) has been talking about an FD, but I want something a lot more simple, especially considering that the car will probably see it's fair share of dings before I get proficient.

I do a paper route up there everynight. I leave rogers and go to cassville, then the back way into Eureaka. It takes me usually ... minutes to get back to my house in rogers from the Visitor center in Eureaka.... I got those roads down :shiftingfun: .

I love the corners out there but the old people do suck and not alot of room to pass. I once passed 5 people in the stang leaving a corner, but the poor probe is so weak i cant even pass one old lady :(

Impressive. AE86 was the Levin/Trueno, figuritively speaking Corolla GT-S in the US, that was RWD.

AE101 is the same but Front-Wheel-Drive.

It's not me...I think I've done atleast 2 drive-by's on Shakey's atleast every Friday or Saturday since I got my car out of the shop.
It seems that nobody wants to stand around and kick it in a parking lot when it's under 50degrees.
I'm always down.
BTW - refer to my last post in the thread on Meetings in NWA.
