Newbie About To Move into NWA

What is up all. I am about to be moving into the northwest arkansas area. My finance works for sherwin williams and got place in NWA and will either be in springdale or rogers and since she is the one making the money right now I am moving to where she gets placed. We both are from Kansas City. I have actually lived in the same house my whole life. The only time I didn't live in the house was when I was in College at Pittsburg State University. I got my degree in automotive there. I am actually comming down to NWA tonight so we can find a palce to live.
Does anyone have any suggestions on apartments that are good around rogers, or springdale or any city close to them. We do need a garage though. As for my cars currently I have a 1986 Toyota Corolla SR5 liftback and a 1989 Toyota Camry. The Corolla I am building for SCCA club racing IT class and the camry is my daily driver. I am looking into getting either a 7th celica GTS, Matrix XRS or a corolla XRS for my daily driver basically anything with a 2zzge. I am one of the biggest Toyota fans you will ever meet. I am usually into older Toyotas like RWD celicas and corollas I just currently don't have one :( I just got rid of my 81 celica infact because it just got too much rust in it and I blew up my 160 hp 180ft lbs motor I built for it. I used to be a Toyota certified tech and my dad is the parts manager at a Toyota dealership up here in KC and has worked in Toyota parts for 30 years now so I know a little bit about Toyotas. I also wondered if you guys have like a "hangout" on fridays and saturdays? I am not looking for a place to street race just looking for a place to hangout just to chat with other people about cars and what not. I understand if you guys don't want to tell me on the forums that is fine. I could meet up with someone sometime and just follow them or something. Let me know. Well I guess that is enough rambling for now all I wanted to do was just say hi and I ended up writing too much.

Friday Nights some people meet up at Andy's in Rogers and Sonic in Fayetteville, just random people at random times. Saturday Nights, though, there is a cruise from the Hobby Lobby parking lot in Rogers to the same Sonic lot in Fayetteville. Much larger crowd on saturday nights.

Is there a name I should ask for if I come in? Also the XRS is pretty bad ass. 180 hp motor oh yeah. My buddy used to have a corolla XRS which is the same motor and chassis just different body and all he had done was a cold air intake and he was runing mid to high 14's. That is pretty damn good I think for a 4 door FWD car. They make great daily drivers too. My mom has an 03 XR which is the crappy 130 hp motor and it isn't that fast but I just like the looks of it and I just put a cold air intake on hers and just the sound of it makes me want something that I can mod a little bit and still have a dependable car.

no one hangs around sonic anymore on friday nights last week it was like four cars me some little black jetta that little civic with the underglow and b5turbo and the rednecks didnt even stay long last friday night. but now i am going to return the thread from my little hijack

haha... no, the people who show up at sonic on friday night are generally the people into the REAL cars... but they don't always drive them there. we stop by on fridays more than saturdays b/c of this. on saturdays sonic is mostly full of ricers :thumbdown:

Sonic in Fayetteville is dead on Friday. It's pretty packed on Saturday nights. Friday you just have to cruise, Andys has some people, thats in Rogers.

Well it looks like I wont be comming out tonight or tommorow night. I am going back up to KC on sunday to start packing my crap. We still don't know where we will be living yet but we have it narrowed down to two places. Hopefully in a couple of weeks we will be fully moved down here(except my corolla) and then hopefully in a month or so I will have a carb on my corolla so I can bring it down here.
