Saturday night (2/?/04)

I went cruising the other night...didn't get anything really going but, of course, as most of you already know, you are GONNA get played with if you have the proverbial "coffee can muffler" and a drop. And of course, I did.

There was one ACTUAL race (more or less). I was meeting Marlon up at Shakey's so we could roll to Fayetteville, but as I'm getting there, I've got some jock in his mudded-out Z71 flying up behind me. I knew EXACTLY why..he was trying to catch up to me. Well, he got there right in front of Wendy's so, instead of pulling in, I got us matched up at the light in front of Wal-Mart...pointing east. We raced from there ALMOST to Dixieland, but he dropped off when I was walking away in 3rd. I hung a right on Dixieland to flip a bitch in that small bank parking lot. He jumped over and followed me in. I was trying to lead him back to Shakey's to see if he wanted to run again, preferrably on a GOOD street to really run all the way, but when I went left to Shakey's, he bailed right. I wonder what the little fucker wanted... <_<

Then, as I said elsewhere, there were a few little "squirt" races I got into in Fayetteville. Again, "squirts" are what I call races where you pretty much just drop into 2nd gear and race to the top of it, and then pull off so as to lessen the chances of getting busted.
I only did this with a newer Jetta (VR6, GLX, GLS ???? I don't have a clue), a Fucus ZX3, a fullsized Dodge truck, a fullsized Ford truck, and a V6 mustang (older white one). None of them were too much of a challenge, but they instigated it, not me.
There was a yellow GT that acted like he wanted to race, but when we got to a good stretch to do it, he just fell behind me and never tried to catch up. David said he had a girl in his passenger seat so, after assuming that was his girlfriend/fiance/wife, I COMPLETELY understood. If Gayle's in the Acura with me, I have to practically beg her to let me run without getting pissed. If a race is worth it, I'll just piss her off, but I don't get too many of those.

Anyway, that was Saturday night for me.

Hell no there won't be, we're going to start chilling at the pawn shop again this summer...... Then either cruise to fayetteville or to my house where we BBQ and drink. :D

We were gonna have a monthly car show at a friends popular fast food place here in rogers... It was gonna be once a month with possible burn out comp. and half-price food for the drivers. We've been working everything out since last november BUT corporate just fired him. :o :(


I was so excided cause we were gonna start it around mid march or so. Now I'm screwed.

Whatever happened to Loko in Fay? I know thats a trip for you guys in Rogers/Bentonville though. Maybe we could alternate weekends :D. We were out almost every weekend over the summer/fall at Sonic in Fayetteville. Its become a habit lol.

Thats exactly what we do. See the same guys everyweekend, get to meet a lot of new people, check out some nice rides, show off a little bit. There are more imports at Sonic than there are muscle cars, but they come out too.

The only problem with a well-known public spot like Sonic, is people coming up there thinking they are badasses in a farm truck :lol:. Its actually pretty funny, just so they don't stay.

The Sonic parking lot was a good place and it was usually pretty hot (I remember the night we had a shit load of imports, a few Camaros, Carls cruiser, and a pack of crotchrockets were pullin' stunts right there on College...cops were driving by and parked down by Fiesta Square and didn't care to do anything about it...it was SWEEEEET!!!

And alternating to where everyone got together in Rogers/Bentonville every once in a while would be a good thing, too. It IS kind of a pain for me, I know, to get to Fayetteville every weekend..even everyOTHER weekend is kind of a pain. Plus, I know of about 3 PRIIIIIME spots to get a couple good races together in Bentonville. I'm talkin' PRIIIIIIME.

i remember that!!!! :thumbup: it was bad ass....the only problem with sonic now is cops hate all of us imports out there....so they kick us out and ticket us any chance they can....I have thought about for awhile why we dont meet up at the razorback movies like we used to in the old days....

I haven't been around long enough for the Razorback meets. We've never been harassed or anything by the cops at Sonic. Once a cop blocked someone in because he was doing a report on some stolen rims that were just like that guy's rims. Turned out they weren't, and the cop was very polite about it, and was joking around and talking with the guys that stayed there. I freaked out and left :).

I haven't been around long enough for the Razorback meets

I think I have been goin out for about a year and a half to two years now....pretty much when the street racing was really really hot around here before we started gettin busted everywhere... :(

I think the razorback thing was mainly about parkinglot cleanliness! No one ever wanted to maintain trash duty and plus some idiots do burnouts and stupid stuff. I think it will prolly be back on this summer tho, at least til the cops tell us we can no longer park there :angry:

when the weather gets warm I will hopefully be hanging out with the bike pack as I did last summer too. I tried the whole "hang out" at sonic a few times, even had the supra up there a couple of times.....

is all you guys are going to do is meet up and hang out or will we actually make plans to do things?
