I hear 3.73 are good for a boost application and 4.10 for n/a. But 4.10 w/ boost pull like crazy. Only draw back can be hooking up. I know either way you lose some gas but i didnt buy a v8 for gas milage either

i had 3.73 on my mustang and i liked em a lot. Gas milage was eh ok but pulled a lot harder than 3.43's ... 4.10's pull like a bitch but you get shitty gas milage and when your cruisin on the interstate or somethin your at like 3200rpm at 60mph.

Force Induction = 3:73's
N/A = 4:10's
I myself am getting 4:10's because I cant afford a s/c and my car at like 75 will be at like 2800 rpms. So robert if your staying n/a dont go lower than 4:10's. You'll be disappointed with 3:73s.

if you are actually seriously thinking about putting any kind of forced induction, why not just go ahead and save up for the one that works better with forced induction. just my opinion. hof you gotta give me a ride when you get yours.

I actually preferred 3.55's when I had a vortech SC on my car. I had 3.73's at first, but ended up switching. I'll probably stick with them even though I just installed a T-56 6spd which has a 2.66:1 1st gear and a .50 6th gear.

I was thinking about getting a t56 but the long tube headers only accept a t5 so trying to find the t5 with nearly the same gear ratio as the t56. I talked to a person with a 95 cobra with a t56 and he put 4.10's and said it cruises like 3.55

i had 3.45 in the truck before, and when i switched to LSD the diff had 3.55s on it as well, cant tell much difference, playing with the idea of 3.73 or 4.10 but.....i do a LOT of freeway driving and dont even get close to getting 20mpg, closer to 17-18 on a good day
what do yall think i should do?
i will be running 27" tires in back

Patrick, maybe look up some tire/gear proportion thing to figure out what kind of final gearing you would have...
My neighbor has a Nova with a single carb supercharger on it. It pulls 13.5s all day long. I'm not sure which gears he had, but he went to shorter gears (4.something) and he said his ET stayed the same but his MPH went up. So he went back to the longer gears so he could actually get traction in first.

Gear and Tire Ratio chart (http://www.therangerstation.com/gearandtirechart.html)
you'll need the size of tire in inches so use this Tire Calculator (http://www.therangerstation.com/Metric_To_Inch_Tires.html)
