Sam's Compact Car Accessories in Fayetteville should be able to hook you up with a bumper/kit. There is a Mugen kit for a CRX sitting in there right now, but it won't fit on your Civic.

91CivicProject, face it man. Shipping and handling on a body kit is expensive. You have to send it truck freight, not UPS.

Yea, he did it on sale, when we came back from Sam's and looked it up on the web-site, then he bought it for $500.00. Sam was gonna charge derek for $800 for the system, and it depends were you get the product from. Some places will ripe you off and some will sale it just to get rid of it......

Where'd Derek buy his at? You have to realize that Sam's is a private store, not a mass distributor or even a wholesaler. Mass distributors go barely under MSRP (manufacturer suggested retail price). They also have competition (ie ~ Jegs rivals Summitt) which also drives the price down. Say Jegs has something for $50. Summitt will want to sell it for $45 just because its that much cheaper, and you'll buy it from them before you pay $5 more from Jegs. Wholesale stores get tons of stuff for cheaper, and sell the products at a little more than what they paid for it (which is generally a lot cheaper than MSRP).
Sam's doesn't get a whole lot of business, so in turn, he makes less money, which in turn is the reason for the "high" prices. He doesn't have a whole lot of local competition either. Personally I would rather go the cheapest way also, but with Sam's, you have someone local to gripe out if there is a problem with the product/order instead of dealing with someone that could care less about a single sale....

Derek got his exhaust system from www.inlinefour.com, i got a friend that can get us brand name wholesale parts and that he is not a mass distributor or a private store saler. Some people in NWA dont like distributor or private store owners just because they try to rip you off but then when you go to websites to buy them you find them at a lower cost and Sam is a rip off but thats my opinion.

You have to understand that small businesses, such as Sam's, have to get a distributor license to sell products wholesale, which means smaller prices for you. And to sell products wholesale, you must first get permission from the company whose products you want to sell. Many companies have strict guidelines about who is allowed to distribute their products. You usually have to fax them your business license, -sometimes- a photo of your store, information about the owner, and various smaller things. You then have to get approved to be a wholesale dealer.
Sam's has not been opened long enough and probably hasn't gotten as much cash revenue to be approved to be a wholesale dealer. Which this means, he (more than likely) has to go and purchase these products with his own money, and prey that someone purchases it with his 5%-15% mark-up.
This is until he can achieve a wholesale distributor status.
It's not all as cut-and-dry nor as easy to do this as many people think. Give Sam some credit for opening a shop where you can walk in and out with your products in the same day. If you're looking for a big pricecut-- hit the internet stock shelves. Some people are just bargain hunters, you can't blame them for that. Otherwise stick to your local Import shops.

I'll stick w/ my local shops, I've bought about $500 worth of stuff from Sam, and I don't regret it. You always get better help buying locally.... I get people coming to me wanting me to fix their system that they bought "Off the Internet", and I say sorry, should have bought from me, you'd get help and a warrantee.
