We're going for the "Country" look with it considering it is a "King Ranch", so the finished product is going to be nifty as hell. :D

Id recommend making the box come from the floor up, possibly a spare tire well enclosure. You'd have to ditch the tire, but thats entirely up to you. There is limited space to put a box without restricting the amount of sound that goes back into your cab of the car. Let me know what you're thinking bro!

We finished installing it yesterday after I wrapped it, the JBL 8's sound AMAZING! I finished tuning the box w/ polyfil and it sounds awesome. I've learned that fiberglass boxes w/ no polyfil or sound dampening material in them usually have horrible resonance problems. Thats fixed now though. :D I'm starting today on his amp rack underneath of his seat. That should be pretty cool.

BJ- I told him to wrap it in the leather like the seats but he couldn't get ford to give him the leather code for it, and he wanted it exact.

Subs? Why dont you just put them in the rear like BJ's? 8's will work in the doors, but the vibration they cause usually only lead to more trouble than what its worth....

Errrr, try again homeboy. We've all got our experiences. Overtime, they take a toll on vibrations in your doors. Examples- My Malibu & Robbie Bryants "Aftermath Alero"(built by Chris Floyd, my f'glass trainer & one of the best installers in the nation).

I take it chris floyd didn't teach you about those "vibrations" being the key to a transparent front stage? 8's in doors is quite a common mod for people who want the up-front bass from 8's in the doors, and they don't think it's More Trouble than what its worth.. they don't vibrate anymore than 6.5's, but they do give you upfront bass as low as 50 hz, which is necessary for the best front stages.

See, they are great for front stage bass, but, from what it sounds like, he's wanting all of his bass from the front. Amateurs seeking a bass thrill tend to put a wee-bit more power to the front stage 8's than do audiophiles who use their 8's for midrange fill. I'm not talking about the vibrations being a noice, as much as a nuisance overtime on sensitive parts inside of your door, ie power window motors, door lock mechanisms, etc.
