I brought a couple friends up to look at the 240 at fletcher honda and was trying to get a guy into it but they were asking 5995 which is what KBB says its worth but his bank would only allow half that at 2500.00

I got the sales manager to go down to 4500 but that was it. He said he'd give it to an employee at 3200 even though they only have 2200 invested in it as a trade in.

I hope they didnt rip you too bad but that is a nice little ride, its pretty clean with only minor exterior issues to fix up. I didnt get a chance to drive it but I really wanted it anyways :P Congrats on the new ride!

The guy who I was trying to help get into it, his 91 240 just blew its motor cause of overheating problems (where I told him it was the thermostat) so now he is out of a ride alltogether - sucks for him and his bank :D

I didnt wanna reply again in the other thread since I was already talking in this one - so...

One of the sales managers had told me they only had 1800 in it and said the tranny was bad but we had like 25 auction cars that day and it could possibly be another one and he was just confused. Many peeps drove the 240 and said the tranny felt fine - it just had a slightly stiffer clutch than they were use to.

I first started the 240 after it was setting on the lot for a week or so and it was pretty hard to start so I was assuming there was an issue with the MAF sensor or possibly a O2 sensor as it could have had some bad gas or just different octane put in it.

i payed 2650 for it. i talked to terry there and my dad knows cars and we sure as shit weren't gonna pay that much for it. i got it for 2650 because technically we "wholesaled" it. we pointed out every visual flaw there was.
