Anyone got any idea how to make my blow off valve louder on my jetta 1.8t without having to spend lots of $$?

lol, what kind do you have? Or are you talking about some type of factory bypass valve? I'm not sure if VW uses those or not...

I believe they have a bosche...only thing I could think of to make it "louder" would be to change it to a BOV and plug up the intake tract where it gets recirculated, but that could mess with the brains.

i've always read that VW/Audi's and a BOV do not mix.

How about saving us some time and put up what happens if you use a BOV on a VW? What about a BPV?

Instead of a BOV to the atmosphere, it releases it into a "reservoir" that way if the gas is punched again (racing), it charges up the intake again. Very little, if any at all, turbo lag.

Forge Blow-Off Valve Kit W/Installation Kit--Blue
Complete with install kit, made to mount on top of hard boost pipe
Specially built blow-off valve that will work on most any 1.8T application. Made to be mounted right on top of hard boost pipe. Kit includes everything needed to install the Forge valve. Kits comes with the following parts:
# Forge billet blow-off valve
# Silicon vacuum hose & adapter(to attach from stock DV location to BOV)
# Silicon adapter hose (to attach BOV to hard intercooler pipe
# Related heavy duty clamps
# Billet plug (to install in intake boost were DV was removed)
Made from billet aluminium, this atmospheric diverter valve dumps the charge-air to atmosphere creating the Whoosh sound when the throttle is lifted. This increases both quicker throttle response and higher clamping load to maintain boost pressure more reliably.
Unlike single piston or diaphragm diverter valves, this uses counter balanced springs and dual pistons to prevent the valve from leaking air into the intake system at idle. This prevents our diverter valves suffering any of the failures associated with single piston and diaphragm type diverter valves.
