o3 cobra's.. you gotta understand them and i've worked on em first hand...their power curves, blow ass. It takes 550-600 rwhp to hit into the deep 12's with an IRS and takes over 600 to see low 11's/high 12's. Dont let that, i threw a pulley on and run this fast shit fool you.
I dont know what yall think but 12.7-12.8 on street tires is what a 03 cobra will do. Put some slicks run mid 12's and less than 2 grand of mods will put you in the 10's. You can refer to jan. 04 5.0 mustang and super fords pg. 118 and thats not on the bottle.

This just in running slicks will give you almost 2 seconds in the 1/4 mile. BS

I got about 15hp from my new turbo valves :). I did that mod when I replaced the injectors on my transmission. Runs pretty dang good now.

no offense dude, but everybody is calling the 03 cobra's, the new dynoqueens... they just have trouble hooking up... times aren't near as good as they should be, that's why everybody with one just posts their horsepower numbers, not their times... talk to an 03 cobra owner and you'll see what i'm talking about, they always say "yea it has 580hp" within 2 minutes of talking about their car.. but they will never say what it runs at the track... they just aren't hooking up real well... i'm not trying to troll, but from everywhere else i'm reading, what that guy is saying is kinda true

Yup, the new cobra does run 12's, but it has a serious traction issue. Hot Rod Mag did the review w/ it VS the WRX STI, and the STI won.... If you threw some slicks on the cobra, it would fly provided it didn't snap an axle. :D

the 03 Cobra runs 12.9 with the STI. the cobra does have serious tractoin problems. how wide is the stock tire on it?? i think putting something bigger on the back would help out a lot.

BTW: stock cobra has 275's all around with some really shitty Goodyear Eagle F1's....I have 285's on mine and I cant hook at all. Put some 315/35/17's nitto's for the rear and the cobra still wont hook on street. :wootburnout:

My buddies was running 14.7 at Mokan with exhaust and K+N. The others up there were running 15.2, but you have to take in account the serious traction issue up there. I was spinning at the top of 3rd even at 75-80mph.

Head work isn't necessary on our cars unless you are already fixing stuff or you are over 500. Dre has gotten over 500hp on the stock head (non stock cams). But yes more than a turbo is needed for 350hp

no offense...but to me....if youve seen one mustang...youve seen em all... unlike all the imports and everything you can kit them all differently,hoods,wheels,lower them to where the wheel takes up almost the whole wheel well...unlike mustangs when you need bigger tires, graphics dont look all that bad on some imports(some domestics dont look to bad either) this is just my opinion though..dont take it personally or anything. I will give some mustangs credit though...pretty damn quick, I would prolly give them a lot more respect if there werent so many v6 mustangs drivin around.....ewww :puke:

I know there are fast ones out there, but i've ran with many modded gt's (00-03) with there being no contest from a dig or a roll. I've never seen a stock GT run anything under a 14.8 in the 1/4.

yah, like vdubs. I know a ton of chicks with mustangs but only 1 has a v8 and she is a car person and runs High 11's at the ville with only exhaust so that would put her around low low 14's in the quarter. I like mustangs, but I don't consider 6 cylinder "mustangs" the actual thing.

I've never seen a stock GT run anything under a 14.8 in the 1/4. I dont know how many girls i know that drive hondas, mitsus, toyota..blah blah blah. Most girls i know drive imports cause there small and "cute". And the few girls i do know that drive a mustang do drive a v6 cause they like the way the body looks. There is a girl with a saleen and roush stage 3 and a cobra but there a lil different.

you can buy all kinds of hoods, wheels, and lower them plus there is this thing called performance which many domestic car owners decide to do before they choose to do before they mod the body. The only problem with a lot of domestic and mostly mustang are made with big ass front dams and look like a lot of import body kits. Personally if i had a import the engine would be out and a bigger one would be put in but thats just me. A good integra sleeper or crx. Maybe one of thoes honda lunch box electric cars and put a s2000 engine in it :thumbup: but you can't say there are things like that for a mustang or any other domestic car until you really get into the market.

I used to be in the market of muscle cars...my whole family loves them...hell we have a 73 roadrunner for sale thats gotta 440 built for racing. Its hella fast...for about 1/4 before it has to fill up again..which is one of the many reasons I started likin imports over domestics. And your right...an S2K motor in a CRX or somethin...DAMN!!!! that would be fast as shit. I just kinda needed a car that I could drive down the road at 3 in the morning and not wake up the neighbors or my parents. in one of my mags there is an echo with a turbo and N2o.....mmmmm....SportCompact i think with the 2F&2F supra on the front

one of my best friends had an echo, decent off the line, great mpg, and no limiter, nothing better than getting 40mpg going 120mph, but the 35-80 acceleration sucked!
