Mods on Cobra:

Solid Rear Axle, 4.10 Gears, Offroad Hpipe, Bassani Catback, Nitto DRs. Deal was not to heat em up.

2001 Firehawk Mods:
Drag Radials, Lid, MAF, Longtubes, O/R Pipe, Catback, !EGR, !AIR, Clutch, TB Bypass, etc. Basically a full bolt on LS1 with all the free mods.

yeah they were weaker in power comparted to the 01's but still they were pre mean lil stangs. My friend had one but he ran it into a tree

Oh that's right. That's the year that Ford advertised 320 and owners weren't real confident of that so they went to dyno and noticed it wasn't all there so they had a recall to put on a different exhuast system.

they ended up making like >275. btw i still got my money on John even with the 4.10s (no offense bud but it is still a mustang)

well I'm only losing by 4 cars when we went from 30 or so to like 100......then I got my pullies and t/a and I kept up a lil more(haha john :P ) then 4:10's are just crazy.

btw raced a 96 cobra tonight.......I inched pretty good. ^_^

I took all the stuff out of my car and cleaned the filter . . . now you will lose by 6+

They are rated at 305 HP. Are they heavier than the new GT's? How were you able to beat one?

the 96-97 Cobra's are close with lightly modded 99+ GT's ....... I just got the edge.

Well mustangs are just so confusing for me. They are so wierd. You'll encounter anything from V6's to V8's and you never really know what you're in for on the streets. I've messed with V6's that are so slow I could beat them in my van and then I've messed with some V6's that really give me a run for my money.

On the other hand, I've handed to a few GT's with Z pretty easily. I've beat the 5.0 GT (94-95) and the 4.6 GT (96) and ran dead even with a 4.6 GT (99+). All were 5 spds. My rule is you just can't assume anything when you're on the streets otherwise you'll be in for a surprise.
