What ever happened to the idea of NAWi/NWAms adopting a highway? I know it was discussed and pretty much agreed upon, but that was as far as it had gone. What happened? Should we still attempt this?

"The Natural State" … We can all be proud of this well-deserved name. Your organization or civic group can help ensure we live up to that name by participating in the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department's Adopt A Highway program. This program provides concerned groups the opportunity to perform a worthwhile community service that enhances our state's image and natural beauty.

The Adopt A Highway program allows volunteer groups to adopt a section of state highway for the purpose of litter control. The object of the program is to increase public awareness of the monumental task of managing Arkansas' rights-of-way and to promote public involvement. With more than 100,000 acres of right-of-way to maintain along the 16,367-mile State Highway System, litter has become a major problem. Not only does it detract from our State's natural beauty, it costs Arkansas taxpayers over $2.0 million annually to pick up. The Adopt A Highway program provides a mechanism for concerned citizens to address this problem and become personally involved in improving our environment.

To learn more about the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department's Adopt A Highway program, please call 501-569-2630 or email the Department at Info@ArkansasHighways.Com .

That's a great idea, imagine the effect it will have for our image to the rest of the community when they see a buch of modded racers parked on the side of the road making it all beautified. Maybe cut down on a little po po harassment, eh?

Okay, I called them and got ahold of the right office. They are sending me an information packet in the mail, I should get it Wednesday or so.

I've got to call them back next week to get a map sent out about what locations are still available. :)

Do we want the sign to say, "NorthWest Arkansas Imports & Motorsports" or "NWAImports & NWAMotorsports" ? :D

We're about to become Famous in NWA!

Holy shit!

Hell yea!

EDIT** Also, I think that it'd be neat to put the Screen names of the people that Pitched in on the Sign(or at least the name of the person) . Just a thought. ^_^
