I was just thinking about this, I thought I'd throw it out there...it'd be cool to get all the German cars together and hang out...maybe go eat...get some pics...talk about the superior cars we have...maybe we could include other Europeans...except, no one has an Alfa or Ferrari, or Delahay, or Bugatti, etc.

No tibby, It's a Ford, but, Ford Europe is a different company from Ford USA. It was made in Germany...it's German.

OK I want all of you to know I AM GERMAN, 100%!!! Both my mother and my father came over on the boat. My grandfather 93, was in the German Army during WWII.

Now that being said, I have a place in my heart for German engineering.

My parents are German, they were too young to be members of the Nazi party. My gradparents were old enough though, but they were farmers and factory workers, not political chess peices. IE both my fathers and mothers family were working class not privvy (sp) to the social/political influence of their respective regions.

My father DID see Adolph Hitler "in the flesh" when he (Hitler) was on his way back from Chezoslviakia (again sp) after they "caved" to the Hitler war machine.

I'd rather not discuss on this board what my family has endured however if you meet me in person I would be willing to share with you stories that have been told to me by my father, mother, grandfather.

Now back to the cars!!!!

Hell yea Im down for this all the way. I have wanted to get to know some new people. I just got my VW like 4 months ago and have wanted to get to know people with either a VW or another German made car. I dont have much done but shit Im only 16 and dont make much money!! Hope this will work out, I would like to get to meet some new people. I feel left out because for 1. Im young and people probaly think I just joke around and 2. I be half 'n half (german an irish). I told some guy at Bob Maloney, whe I was drivin a focus, that I used to own a '65 MGB Roadster, he then asked how I like German engineering. I was like "uhh, it's a British car." He had a heavy german accent. :strange:
