Welcome to NWAImports. We are a community site for Northwest Arkansas showcasing the rides of local Import Enthusiasts.
Our Forum is setup into Sections both Import AND domestic. Each Section you will see has been setup to occupy General Discussion, Photos and Media, Tuning and Bragging Rights. Please try to keep your posts and Threads in the appropriate section.
We do not condone Sexist/Racist remarks in our forums nor do we allow Pornography to be linked in public view. Please Refer to our Rules and Guidelines for other info.
I will attempt to answer common questions that has arose with our members/Newbies in the past.

Logging in and Out:
Login is not Case Sensitive. You can choose to let the board remember your password and user name in a cookie to make it easier to log in. You do not have to log out on exit of the forum, you will be automatically removed from the forum after 15 minutes.
NAVIGATING THE FORUM:
-MEMBER CP (Control Panel) "MY CONTROLS":
Members have a CP to access personal information about them. You can change all of the info about yourself from this panel. It is pretty Self-Explanatory
-MY ASSISTANT:
Will help you navigate through recent posts and searches. It displays your last 10 posts and most of the same information from the Index of the forum.
-Forum posts and user conveniences:
"The Moderating Team", "Today's Active Topics", "Todays top 10 posters", "Overall top 10 posters"

MEMBER NAMES:
You can PM/Email the Admins and request a new name. Admins are allowed to change your registered name. All posts will stay just the name will be changed.
-PLEASE DO NOT sign up again for a new name or we will delete one of them.
Member Names Show are BLACK, Moderators are BLUE and Administrators are RED
-A new feature has been setup to assist in easier PM access. Each member's name located on the Main Index of the Forum, has a small Green DOT beside their name. If you Click it, it will Send them a PM. This Feature is ONLY located on the Main Index.

WARN 0%:
This is the Forums' Warning system. You can only see yours but everyone has them. We do not want to control everything you say or post, but if you do violate a rule or if we feel you need a warning, you will be issued one. You can receive 2 warnings a day by the Admins/Mods but Admins have the right to raise or lower your % or even ban you for X amount of time. We do not use this system on a daily basis, please do not make us start.

You are allowed to edit a post that you made or a topic for up to 8 hours. Anytime after 8 hours and you will not have the option. Admins are allowed to edit anyones post but will utilize the "EDITED BY:" feature to let you know.
-We only edit posts to fix user errors in Links and photos. Occasional misspellings will be corrected if we cannot or other members cannot Read or understand the word. We DO NOT, ANY LONGER, DELETE POSTS unless the post will result in a persons Property, health or life being in danger.
Members are NOT allowed to Close their topics. Administrators and Moderators will close topics such as for Sold Items under Classifieds.
Administrators/Moderators are allowed to Edit, Move and Delete (said posts). Double Posts will be either deleted or moved, a link will be placed in your post to the moved post.
POSTING PHOTOS:

Members are no longer allowed to UPLOAD photos to this forum do to Server inefficiencies/bandwidth issues. You can however, Email your photo's to the Admins and we will be glad to Post it and/or give you the link. We apologize for this inconvenience.
Personal Photo's are allowed up to 200x200. Any larger and it will not let you post it. We have the right to remove your personal photo/Avatar is it contains offensive/pornographic content.
Allowed Image Extensions are: gif,jpg,jpeg,png,swf

AVATARS:
Edit: as of 7/04/04 - Thanks to the new hosting, Avatar Uploads are now automatic on all forums, they will no longer be verified via Administrators. Please read Forum Updates (http://www.nwaimports.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=183) for more info. Please disregard the following text.
Avatars can be uploaded via My Controls (http://www.nwaimports.com/forums/index.php?act=UserCP&CODE=00). Once you upload the Avatar, it will be sent to the Administrators for verification purposes. We will manually put it on the server and it will no longer be a 'red X'. We do not try to view each members Avatar, the forum will not allow anyone to upload Photo's because of the bandwidth issues. So we have to do it ourselves. Administrators will adjust your Avatar to proper proportions based on what is appealing to the forum. Normal Dimensions are 64X64 and cannot exceed 100k in size.
EMAIL & PMs:
Members are allowed to email members only 10 Emails per 24Hrs. This is default and can be adjusted later. As of now, we do not need to change it. This cuts down on Flooding/Spamming. Members are allowed 60 Messaged in their PM folder, both SENT and RECEIVED.
No HTML is allowed in Signatures/PM's.
PHP is not allowed to be linked in your Post.
If you must link something, please contact an ADMIN for assistance.
NO THEFT of TRAFFIC is allowed.
This is considered: other import sites that may or may not be in competition with NWAImports. Links to personal Pages, friends sites, other places is fine. If there is a problem with your Link, it will either be automatically changed upon posting it or we will remove it and PM you.
CHAT:
We are glad to offer a New TEST Chat room to members. At this time it is open to the public - you do not require a registered password to enter. At later dates this and/or an upgraded chat room will be secured by registration.

GALLERY:

I have created a Gallery on My Personal Server for members to upload photos, since NWAImports will not allow it. My server utilizes 1MB Upload and 125-200KB Download speeds. This means it is pretty slow for larger files. If we decide to use this gallery, Members will be allowed to upload their own personal photos and select different options to allow guests/members to view their photo's or not. Registration is allowed through BDP since this is MY SERVER.
HOT-LINKING PHOTOS:
Hot-Linking Photo's from NWAImports is not allowed but is not moderatable. We do not want our personal photos that took us time to make/take, all over the web displayed as other's creations. Ever so often, Directories will be renamed to stop leaching.
