what block is that?

I know they made these for the 72's

4.1 L, 250
5.0 L, 302
5.8 L, 351
5.8 L, 351
6.4 L, 390
6.6 L, 400
7.0 L, 429
7.5 L, 460

I would assume it would be either of the 351 series (cleaveland or 'M')

The '72 Torino is a 351 Cleveland. The '69 Nova is a pro-stock built 454 bored over to 468. :)

They're both estimated at around 550hp.

The nova is a very good off-the-line launch demon :D His tires are kinda skinny for what power he's putting out. He may not need to tub it, but he could sure use some gummier slicks. One thing i just couldnt understand about the boy is, why oh why did he put Autolite spark plugs in that? A least AC Delco would be better. But hey, whatever he wants.

i'll try to get some pics up soon but i've got a 64 nova w/ a 283 small block putting out about 310 HP, and a 69 dart with a small block 340 (haven't put it on the dyno yet) but it has killed the brand new vipers that were modded so it has to be putting out a lot.
