i dont think he is on the board, I see them once in a while at the sonic, but i think this is the 1st time they actually showed up at the meet-up

89->94 240sx have flip up though, and can be mistaken for z's

ok just playin, kinda. if you want to do any kind of racing against the corvette it'll be a while. atleast 6 weeks until im fully healed, the clutch i think we're going to end up doing a stupid mail order like we tried to avoid but if thats the case then it'll be ordered soon. still haven't called GM about my tranny though. they may stand behind it since it has less than 20,000 miles on it, but i dunno for sure

its b/c of the skip shift that they put in the 6 speeds. i can't remember what rmps it works at, but i'm gonna guess at 2500. so if you're at 2500 or lower in 1st when you shift its activated and wont let you put it in 2nd, you have to go to 4th. but say your over the limit and everything is good to go to 2nd, but then you take your foot off the gas to shift so your rpms drop and you get down to where the skip shift is activated, then it tries to push it out of 2nd which knocks the synchronizers out. and if its bad enough i'll have to put a whole new 2nd gear in. thats what we were told by fletcher chevrolet. he said that they tell people if they're driving corvettes w/6 speeds to either unplug the wires to the skip shift or to buy the skip shift eliminator. which we weren't told and didn't do... and have been very annoyed w/the skip shift but never did anything about it.
