Saturday Night Cruise Thru
Saturday February 19, 2005

Hey NWAi/NWAMS Members,

This is a reminder about our Saturday night cruise thru being held on Saturday February 19, 2005.

As per usual we will meet up at the Payless Parking Lot in Rogers, Arkansas. Official starting time is 10pm, but we have a few people show up around 9:30 +/-. We cruise tentively at 10:30 on 71B towards Fayetteville Sonic . Last weekend we had made plans for a short, open-discussion regarding the cruise and its attendees but due to rain we only had a dozen or so cars out, and we don’t expect people to cruise in inclement weather. So, we’re re-issuing the discussion for this weekend. At 10:30 we will request everyone to come speak up about their questions, comments and concerns about our cruise and how they’d like to see changes or what they want out of it. So, if you have any comments/concerns about our Saturday Night Cruise Thru's, please bring them to the event tomorrow night and be open for discussion with other members and cruise-attendees. Remember, this is a cruise; an enjoyable, safe activity for everyone to participate in. The cruises were started with the intentions of promoting unity in the NWA Street Scene.. Let's keep it that way.

Forecast for Saturday:
High of 50 degrees. Low of 46 degrees. 9-10pm calls for mostly cloudy around 45 degrees.

Hope to see you all out tomorrow night. Have a great weekend and most of all, be safe.

i like people who have expensive cars and bitch about them being broke down for what seems like ages whenever they get challenged to race. IF you own a c5 and a navigator, wouldn't it be nice to think you could afford the cost of fixing them?

didya set your sights to high?

oh geeze. i'm not bitching, just saying.

we're in the process of getting it fixed, the problem we're having now is that nobody that we've talked to locally will order an aftermarket performance clutch for a corvette. and we're trying to avoid any kind of mail order. i haven't been looking too hard b/c i just had surgery for gods sake, so im not driving right now and in no hurry to get it fixed any time soon b/c theres really no reason.

here we go w/the money thing again. i HAVE the money, but we havent found exactly what we want yet. and it would be stupid to settle for a STOCK clutch that i could have in my hands TODAY, when the same thing is gonna happen and i'll have to replace that in another few months. so i'm doing the smart thing and leaving it be UNTIL i get a stouter clutch

nope, i didnt set my sights too high :P

not to go off topic here but if you are having trouble finding one local .... contact a few shops in Oklahoma

Extreme Performance in OKC .... they do awesome work and my car is currently there .... they should be able to get you what you want need - I believe their website is www.extremeperformance.org .....

Tulsa Automotive Repair - they do a lot of work for the f-bodies and Vettes in the Tulsa area

I personally havent found a shop around here locally that I trust to do the work I want done so I have mine done out of state if I need anything done .... ;)

Good luck!

once I get my car back - I may try and join in on a few of the saturday night cruises

hey thanks! i really really appreciate that. we've called SO many local shops and they all say they can only order the stock clutch or one that matches the performance of a stock clutch. we're supposed to check back w/the parts store in prairie grove, my bf went there yesterday for me and they said to get back w/them next week on it. if that doesn't work then we'll try those in OK :)

again, thank you :))

no problem at all!

why dont you order one yourself and have a shop put it in. A shop shouldn't have a problem doing that.

Mr. Merk
Feb-20th-05, 1:56 am
they have an installer, same that did mine i bet

but they dont want to order one so they dont have to deal with an email or phone instead of a face, but i think if they dont order from an unreputable company that has bad history :coughcenterforcecough: then they should be fine

i know for a fact that spec will not flinch at helping you out if you have a problem, i know a guy who bought a clutch a while back and the springs were kinda noisy, and they had just come out with a new improved clutch so they sent him a brand new one (his worked fine but was noisy, he got a new one anyway)

yes exactly, we're trying to avoid mail orders b/c theres a good chance it won't be shipped properly (i've seen that first hand), and if there IS a problem then we have to get in contact w/them again, and ship it back, and wait for it to be shipped BACK to us and all that jazz

i don't think we're going centerforce.. i think he's trying to find out if zoom makes a clutch for a corvette b/c his dad recommended that
