I don't know if anyone has the money and wants to take the chance or not on this, but I was pretty freaked out by it.
I asked the dude if he'd take a straight trade on my CL. Still waiting on a response  ... :P

If someone else has the opportunity, jump on it. No hard feelings.

*turbo is blown* You don't know how much damage that did to anything else. Granted, it is a GTR, but someone was probably racing it and didn't let it cool down, then tried to race it again. That will be a pain to replace and to get everything set right again unless you want to aftermarket everything.

Another thing, are the 89's street legal in the US? I'm not sure about all of the legalities with the JDM GTRs but it might be something you would want to check into.

Fuck it! Just stick some Supra motor a J-SPEC Half-cut or just another motor (http://cgi6.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItems&userid=tcanuta&include=0&since=-1&sort=3&rows=50) in it and do some reinforcement shit to the body and such and go for it.

Those are the years I've wanted forever 89-93, now that I saw 2F2F tho.... Hmmm I REALLY like that r34!

I found a 94 R33 Automatic N/A in Colorado for $15,000 with 75k on it Cheapest I've ever found in the US, sucks its such a sucky drive train :(

That car won't be legal to drive on the street. This is the reason why in other countries you can get the skyline dirt cheap, while here it costs 80 - 90k from a company like motorex. All the extra cost comes in making the thing d.o.t. approved.
Would be nice to have as something you trailer out to the track tho.

You dont have do anything for conversion if its a show or strip car right? I dont think you even have to register it in the US if you only plan on having it for a year right? Well its something like that. Or maybe it says you dont have to pay for conversion if its only used in the US less than a year or two or if you are a soldier over seas that imports it from active duty.

I dont remember the whole law, I looked it all up a few years ago.
Please correct me if im wrong.

"..Remember this car is shipped directly from japan."

??? I dont think he changed the listing any, this is the way I saw it a few days ago. Am I missing something?

Dont take the chance. It wont be legal for street if they even decide to ship the car. BUYER BEWARE

ehh i am torn apart on this one. it is a skyline (AHH and the angels sang!) and who wouldn't love to have one?? but 11k for a skyline that is going to shipped and stuff?? and the 2k NON-refundable? it is an iffy decision. those who are really serious about the skylines, if you do searches on the net, some car company in cali will have at least an r32 if not an R33 for about 20k (i know it sounds unreasonable but i have seen it) now as for making it street legal, what all is entailed in doing this??

Mali...500/600 get to get a 300Z turbo off a junkyard or through a connection and you're back to having a TURBO Skyline under 12,000... <_<

Dont take the chance. It wont be legal for street if they even decide to ship the car. BUYER BEWARE

WHO THE HELL CARES!!!!????
It WOULD be mostly track run, but I can guaruntee that I won't be able to leave it in the garage between dragstrip visits...it'd be worth it.
Of course, IF it even ran right.

some car company in cali will have at least an r32 if not an R33 for about 20k (i know it sounds unreasonable but i have seen it)

Yep...there are...I've already talked to them.
I just thought, to get an R32 as a straight trade on the CL, even WITHOUT the turbo, it might be worth it...
I can take teh Skyline A LOT further then the CL.

Yea would have to show proof that it will be for race only and pay for taxes ect on the car so you are going to pay a lot more the 11k for the car. If you can afford it do it though its a nice car. Just be carefull

damn ya'll are like willing to sacrifice your let nutt for a skyline...

1. won't be street legal, think about how much the cops hassel you now, now imagine them doing it when you have NO TAGS

2. it isn't working, yea getting parts for a skyline would be dirt cheap over here... considering THEY DON'T SELL THEM

3. skylines are heavy bastard children, like the supra, and moreso like the 3000gt

just get a supra, 1/3 the price for a legallized one, and the engine is just as strong

"I work with Skylines every day doing every mod. you can think of and i personally drive a Supra. With every mod. possible put onto both of these cars they would be about equal, it would depend on the driver in a race. Both are excellent cars but the only downside about the GTR is it will put a large dent in your wallet.

 yea, I would prolly give up a nut tho. I have wanted an Skyline GT-R since 91 or 92, (and a Conquest & a Starion) they just sorta grew on me and I love the body style.

I think everyone is saying IF they had the money. Cause I dunno about the rest of you but I dont have $11,000 to throw away on trust of a stranger  Thats just about retarded. But we are speaking hypothetically.

We've already had the Conquest and I wasnt Impressed, the Starion was the better DSM of the two! So next is the Delorean and the Skyline.

i dont think I would want one. There is a lot of hype over them and I think I would be a lil disipointed in it. I would rather have a 2002 RX7 Spirit R not very many of them. but that wont happen cause i cant import it legally.
