after i get my 02 sensor back on id go. Till then i try not to drive too much. Car sounds good normal(well i think so) but atm sounds like a feked up motor cycle and runs like a dog. I was looking at a 347 yesterday but i have to fix my tranny and they cost the same :o

Well if your car isn't acting the way you want it to and you want a new car I love my 99 gt. It is very easy to drive and seems to be a perfect car for me. btw theres a 96 cobra here in b'ville with 60k miles goin for 11,900. I think at rob rays used cars next to eureka pizza on walton.

IMO - Rob Ray sucks!

Here's another of BDP's stories

He sold us a 97 Jeep with a bad tranny back in '99
We pulled the Tranny and took it to Wholesale Tranny for a rebuild, thats when Bobs/Bills kids owned it (the crack smokers). They left out a gear and many parts which let us get the work done for free, but they took 5 months to complete everything. They kept giving it back to us with stuff wrong: Internals wrong/Torque Converter wrong/Bolts missing... They REALLY BLEW!

But yea, Rob Ray told us "tough luck" even though it went out just a week after we bought it.

We pulled that damn transmission 4 different times, lemme tell you, those Automatics fuckin suck! But if you need Auto Tranny stuff done on the 95-99 Jeeps, lemme know :D

We took the jeep 4 wheelin for like 1 1/2 hours and brought it back covered in mud from bellaVista. Then bought it 3 days later. That could be why he wouldnt do anything about the warranty

hehe, he had it all detailed, but yeah. He never said anything about us offroading it, but thats what a jeeps for, so you gotta "test drive" it in its own environment :D

yesterday I went to the ford dealer in Rogers and looked a t a nice 03' cobra. It's maroon 6 speed supercharged beast. Now on to my delima, erm well i guess you could say lol. I have my car atm 1995 cobra its pre nice not too fast but it gets me around and sounds good. I can either save my money all year and make a down payment on an 03/04 cobra next year once i transfer jobs or dump all my cash atm into my car and make it go go go. Either way ill end up w/ about a 12 second car, but one is newer and has random_extra_crap. My car has this w/o leather (http://www.scoa.org/info/1995-info.htm) . Just thought i would see what everyone thinks cause I can't make up my mind.

not in the new body styles from what i hear. the best 5.0s were from 88-93 or 94 cuz they were making the most (the small fox body mustang) i have read on several resources that the 5.0s in the cobras are making what the normal 5.0s in the LXs were making. if you were gonna do anything, a super charger would be your best bet. btw robert, what is wrong with the tranny??

btw robert, what is wrong with the tranny?? when i got the car the clutch and the synchronizers were already going out and after racing (on the track of course :D ) it has became worse and worse. Doesn't like to go in first a lot grinds second and sometimes third. My car stock is 240hp 280 tq which is about 20 hp more about the fox but the fox has the weight advantage to my body style. After im done with my car if i mod it, it will be 12ish but id like to shoot for high 11's (my goal). While the car will look stock except be maybe 1 1/4 lower.

That '03 cobra is Bob Maloney's old toy for about 6 months. He bought it for 14k and the dealership claims to have 30k into the car. But yeah, He wore out a set of tires. Bob is no feather footed driver, thats for sure.

He bought it for 14k and the dealership claims to have 30k into the car Id like to see them prove that saying its stock.
Bob is no feather footed driver, thats for sure. haha if i had a 12 second car on my lot to whore around in i think id just buy some street slicks and go at itt

Well, Bob knows his deals. He managed to steal it that much like in June of '03. I know they dont have anything done to it. We put a new set of BFG street radials which apparently is worth 16 or 17 grand. But you didnt hear this from me. I reamain unknown conspirator. :D

Here is my take...

You can get your high 11 goal out of your 95 cobra, but its going to take some work. You COULD take it much farther than that.. the potential is there.
Now I would ask this question.

Is this your only car / daily driver?

If the answer is yes, then sell your car and buy the 03. Couple of simple mods gets you there with little or no fuss and no downtime on your car.
I would also go this route if you still owe a bunch of money on your '95. HOPEFULLY by now the thing is close to if not paid for. If its not, or you are upside down on it pretty bad then spending money on mods is not the thing you need to be worrying about. priorities.

If you have another daily driver, and this car is paid for then I would tear into it. You are going to need patience and time to make that thing into something really fast. This is the biggest mistake people make.. they read some magazine saying they can bolt on a supercharger in a weekend and so they tear into the only car they have and wind up screwing themselves. If you want to do it right, you need to invest in the right parts, then invest in the tuning time to get the most out of it and keep it safe.

Just my $.02

i don't think i would ever buy a stang from a dealer cause they go for like $19K+ for a V6 . my dad gets to go to the dealer sales and he found my 2003 V6 w/ only 20000 miles on it for $9K or less because all i have to pay him is $6K.
