swap or not

my cousin gave me his old project car its a 88 civic hatch its got a b16 with a turbo and a 100 shot of NOS my question for everyone is should i drop all that into me 91 civic the reason i dont want to keep it in the hatch is because the body is shot the floors r almost rotted out and the body look like its been to hell and back
i want to drop it into me civic i have but wanted to see what everybody thought bout my idea . this will make my car pretty quick . i spent the better part of today getting the motor running in the hatch and it runs perfect i had to install a few parts to get it all running but i think it was worth the time i spent to day so let me know what u think bout the motor/turbo/NOS swap

well, if you got a turbo'd engine, and it's body is shot, what r u gonna do with it otherwise? DROP IT IN, you have no other use for it.

his name is tyler the car has never been on the streets he started working on it last year but this is his last year of collage and he doesnt have time for the car between school and work so he gave it to me cuz he didnt want the thing to jsut sit there and rot away

But you do know you have to get a b-series tranny for that engine right? And it has to be cable too. You can use a hydraulic but you would have to get a conversion kit. I believe Hasport has one.

Sounds like we need to have a run, once you get it out of the shop, like sleepertec said in your other post, you really don't know what i have in that MX-3. Hey if you have anytrouble with getting that motor in or whatever, i'm not expreinced at honda's but i do know a think or two about general automotive work, since i do every day.

So I'm guessing that the Turbocharged b16 engine with a 100 shot of Nitrous didn't work out since you're already looking for a d16 engine from Vegas, in his post. :strange: i would think you would have already had the car since you said you did.

no i still have the turbo B16 and nos but i am selling it to a friends he offered me 3 grand for it all and i just couldent say no i am goin to build a d16 SOHC VTEC . but yea when i get it in the car we will have to run i have big plans for this motor

yea it was already installed in the 92 civic hatch and i got it running and was going to fix that car but it needed to much work so i had planed to put it in my civic and i went by cse to see bout motor mount and the other stuff i need but i am going to sell it because i am getting a d16 motor and yes its a SOHC VTEC but that what i want to run for now but it was pretty quick in the civic hb but i didnt get it in my civic i ment it was in the 92 civic i have i jsut had to hook up a few thing and stuff of that nature sorry guys i didnt mean for it to sound like i had it in my civic yet
