My question iz about my shocks wearing quickly. Whats up is, i switched from 16 inch rims to 17 inch rims without any other suspension modificationz. how would this effect my stock shock wear? Would the shit wear out sooner than if i had kept my other rims or is the impact not that big of a deal and i should put suspension mod on to keep it from wearin' out? I don't know if it makes a difference. help.

Thanks

I don't see how that would cause a significant difference. People usually blow shocks quickly by lowering their cars, which keeps the shock in a more compressed state all the time.

also, quiet possibly, usually taller diameter rims means a smaller amount of rubber to equal out the speed ratio and gear gatios (and to fit the fender well). In most cases a low profile tire wont absorb impact like some large tire with a lot of "body" so im thinking some lo pros would cause shocks to wear more too since it doesnt absorb hardly any impact, i could be wrong tho, no hatin - just opinions :D

I thought about that, but I don't think it would make enough of a difference to notice.

Your shocks probably are not needed to be worried about right now. If putting 17's on the car does do anything bad, it will start to wear more on the outer tie-rod ends and the ball joints. But, it will be a long time before you start to notice anything going wrong anyway. Just keep an eye on the angle in which your wheel sits, and incorrect tire wear. :D
