You gotta drop a little bit of hint in what you got, i dont' really think it'd be all that much seeing that you only spent a 1000.

I used to feel the same way before I started NWAi.. Then I got to know some of the peeps and saw the pride, appreciation and love people put into them.. I've seen some fast and tight Hondas. I'm most definitely a Honda fan now. :thumbup:

yah he has an MX-3 that needs a new head, its still driveable tho, the #1 plug is just kinda sitting in there, completely stripped out when he bought it

and his yota put down 200rwhp (on the 35s) with a jacked up flywheel and a blown intake gasket (he's been working on the dang thing all week)

Now I'm just thinking.. How come everytime you make yourself look like a tard on the board it always comes down to "well sleepertech said.. blah blah"?.. First off.. It's "SleeperTec" & What I say don't really matter.. most of my comments are half spooled babbles of non sence that if anyone understands what I'm talking about it's a mirical anyways.. Anywho.. one day last week "Project 91" stoped by my shop and showed me his spray bombed flat black '91 Civic 4 door with a half painted ricer white interior and my first responce was "wow that looks like hell" we we stood by the pile for a few mins and my un educated on Honda's self asked "is it V-Tech?" because I've seen many cars that were V-Tech that I would not think had it.. so who knows.. Like I said.. me and hondas don't mix.. anyways we look under the hood and no.. all I saw was a dirty tired engine.. I did take this car for a short jolt around the block and other than the terrible slipping of the worn out clutch and the lack of power steering it seemed alright.. not fast, not quick, but alright.. It would make a great car for my mother.. But I'm used to driving my heavy truck that sits a little higher and drives quite nicer.. My honset opinion on this whole thread.. it's a waist of server space.. We all know who's going to win.. Unless you plan on putting a B18 or something into that honda and gutting the crap out of it for weight then you might have a better chance.. But I really don't think you realize what Joe's car really has into it.. I think a Race should be more competitive where you really don't know who's going to win before it happens & not knowing who's going to win a week ahead of time.. But if this really does go down and you two do race.. I want to be there sharin the Mazda Love at the end of the track :thumbup:

OKAY!, YES.. the REPU is ugly.. but look at all the early 70's mini trucks.. Ford Courier, Chevy LUV, Datsun 720, Mazda REPU.. I mean.. they're all ugly.. But it was the 70's and in the 70's the REPU was actually voted the best looking from car and driver.. YES, my truck RIGHT NOW is brush painted and looks like HELL.. But I do have plans to strip it and repaint it this summer.. And YES, I spray painted my wheels black.. BUT I did also take the tires off, cleaned the wheels well, painted them evenly, and accented the black with a chrome trim ring.. Thats not a BAD way to do it and they look OOBER good!! even you commented on how good they look.. Theres nothing WRONG with spray paint if it's done right.. Spray bombing a whole car is a big NO NO unless it looks like hell and it some how makes it look better.. Your car looked good before you spray bombed it thats whay I was like :???: and the white interior.. your interior WAS MINT! that also left me like :???: :???: .. I mean I accent painted a few things in my truck so it would match the exterior a little better.. but I also smoothed my center radio consol that gave it that old style look.. but not the whole dash and door panels like you did.. a lil is nice.. a lot is hideous in my opinion.. And like trippy said.. You can't bash on a REPU just by it's looks.. The history of the REPU and the rareness of one is what makes it cool.. do the research and then tell me the REPU is dumb

Known as the Rotary PickUp, or REPU for short, this pickup ran circles around the competition. With short gears, and a torquie 1.3 L 13b, the truck was by far the fastest in its class. The limited number of REPUs imported into the US makes the value much more than the others of this same era.

With a gross payload capacity of 1400 lbs, not only could you haul a bunch of stuff around, you could just plain haul ass! The 2 rotor 13b 4-port engine gave more grunt than the 1.1 liter 12a. With a rear axle ratio of 4.625, the truck can fly, but that did limit the top speed. The steering system is a ball and nut, nothing special, but it does have an independent wishbone type front suspension with coil spring and shock. The rears are what you'd expect for a 70's truck, a semi-elliptic lead spring with shocks. The front brakes were disc, while the rear were drums.

I LOVE the way those 70s trucks look. I like that squared off look. If only they could have improved on the interior back in the day. But the REPU has buckets unless you changed em out. That truck is bad ass from what I have read.

I hope your joking...because there are some freakin' mean Hondas out there...I would never even think about racing a Honda on the street unless I knew the guy and what the car had...For instance...take KTs hatch...PWN alot of cars in NWA cept a few...point is...Hondas are fast...and just because they aren't sexy like the Acura NSX or Corvette etc...doesn't mean thy aren't mean!...Honda's have so much potential its not even funny...James Gibbons Integra Type R...that baby was SWEEEEEEEET!!

i wouldnt think twice about racing a honda... there may be 1 in 1,000 that might keep up w/me but i haven't seen it yet. i've also yet to see one that i consider mean, but i guess thats also a relative term. to me a mean car is one that pounds the ground or gives a nice roar when u get on it (even just a little bit). and one that u can FEEL drive by. im not intimidated by a car that i feel an instict to cover my ears as it goes past :P

im not saying hondas are bad, just that i dont consider them mean

you are correct modded hondas that are fast are loud as hell...
I have some vids posted here of some florida civics that are street cars and run away from cars that cost 5-10 times as much.. Honda does have a lot of potential in mods cause they are small and already have excellent power to weight ratios which is important. If you can get an extra 50-100 hp out of the car with the same amount or less weight then you started with then you can gain 2 full seconds sometimes in the quater.

LMAO, does anybody even know what he was trying to say when he typed that, i can't make any since of it what so ever. Well he says now that he never did the swap and sold the engine so now he's looking at putting a SOHC vtech, even though it says that you did the enstall, and was going to tune it the next day. :strange: WEIRD, and i just dropped my mx-3 off at the body shop today, so i'll probably have it out there this weekend. So 91Project if i have the car out this weekend, are you ready??
