Yo, I sill have my '89. At least I thought I told you about it. $40. Its out of a 1989 CRX Si 5spd which is the PM6. What are you doing with the PM7?
I only know D series stuff, but what is the PR4 out of?

It has to be an OBD0 computer, and still then the plugs might not match. I've never used or seen one before, so I'm not for certain. I think only the 90-91 PR4's will work.
Hmm... I'm kind of concerned about that. The B18A is a DOHC engine so the distributor will be wired a little differently than an Si dizzy. Plus the fuel map and timing curve will be set for a 1.8 DOHC being put on a 1.5 SOHC.

It works as long as its 90-91. Has to be OBD0. It has a more aggressive fuel map, basically like a ZC ecu. I have a mugen spec PR4 in my CRX w/ my single cam motor. This ECU on Angel's B16 CRX gave him an extra 4 hp according to an unspecified reference.

On Board Diagnostics. OBD1 started in 92 on most vehicles, some in 91. It basically gave you a port to plug in a code scanner on your vehicle to determine problems. It gave the vehicles more sensors to diagnose air/fuel and other things. When this came out, the earlier vehicles were labeled Pre-OBD or OBD0. In 1996, the switched from OBD1 to OBD2, which is a more complex, emissions safe diagnostic system. There are two different OBD2 frames, one as just OBD2, and the other as OBD2B.

Mugen is a company in japan founded by the son of "Honda" his self. They specialize in aftermarket honda parts. Mugen spec basically means its an ECU reprogrammed w/ their specifications, such as rev limiter, etc.......

Ah, like Brock said, its not a big deal. We're all here to learn... You don't have to know everything to be a member. We were all new to the automotive scene at some point.. Some time along the way, someone taught us a thing or two. Now its our turn to return the favor. Don't worry about it- everyone has to learn now or later.
All I ask is you give other people respect, and we'll be fine.

Cracking on a newbie question!!!!!! Man that is plain stupid. I used to be on this one web site when I first started learning about imports and I asked a question. It became a roasting session. I left and didn't go back for a long time. I recently revisited the site and less than 100 members are left from a group of over 2,500. Respect or lack there of will make you or break you. If you can't teach then don't preach. Caleb, keep asking questions someone else might want to know the answer too.
96CivicProject, I am not gonna try to put you down or anything, please dont think it..... but I just want to point out that 94sentra was just asking 'learning' type questions and any questions are welcome here.
NOTE: not all answers are correct or by any means accurate so please consult many sources or someone you know for sure is correct in their explanations. This is a forum not a library :P
That was a reminder for everyone, not just 96civicproject.
back to what I was saying,
will that pr4 work on his motor and whats the difference? :surp:
that will work out good then, but whats OBDO?

as you can tell by all of his posts, he was just getting involved with the convo and learning at the same time.
Im sure no one has any hard feelings. Sorry Guys.
Peace
