I work at the Wal-Mart Claims office and, if you guys think you can convince that company to finance something like a drag strip for street racers, by all means, good luck. They're kinda tight with money when they don't see it as a good cause (meaning positive exposure).
If, by the hand of God, we should come up with funding for a track, the B-ville airport, not XNA in highfill, but the one at the end of 26th st. W, would be optimum.
I haven't completely scoped out the land, but, trust me, it's been a LONG-TIME dream that, if I won a mulitmillion dollar lottery, I would buy the land and convert into a race facility that would include a 1/4mi and drift course, plus, if enough room, a 1/8mi. or 1000mtr track, too. If there was enough room, or maybe somewhere near by, and if I could afford it, I would install a minimum 6 corner motorcross track, too. It'd be AWESOME because it would be right, smackdab, in the middle of town and, although B-ville isn't the MAIN concentrated area of most of NWAImports, the shop is right down the road....I mean, if I'm dreaming, I might as well dream HUGE!! right??
Anyway, the B-ville airport would be optimum land.

I was seriously looking into this two years back. I found a perfect piece of property outside of tonitown going towards siloam. It was off the highway maybe a mile or so. It was a little strip of land close to the road that was combined of several fields that would have made a great 1/4 track. I actually had several sponsers to fund the track, and on the way to getting local signitures for a sound ordanance. The plans were actually being drawn up and estimates made for the sponsers when I found out the property sold. But it was worth a try though. Hopefully something like that will come about pretty soon.

It's definitely a possibility otherwise how would any other towns/cities have them? I think that a major help would be if we could could gain support from the local law enforcements. If we could somehow convince them that by supporting a local track, and actually running one consistently, it would substantially lower the amount of street racing that goes on in NW Arkansas. If people can head up to the track and run their car, legally, they would be a lot less likely to street race IMHO.
What do you guys think?

Yah...you come around rainbow curve (towards Bentonville) and at that light for 26th st. (I think it is), you take a left...up that road to the old Bentonville airport/airstrip...I think it's only used privately and somewhat commercially now, but if we could get our hands on it, I THINK there's plenty of land out there for a whole "race park", if you will.

I was driving my moms grand cherokee last night, my crx is in tulsa getting the turbo treatment. :) I need the VAFC for the DSM injectors.
STiGuy
Jan-10th-04, 12:34 am
your crx sounds like its gonna be badass!! do you have any suggestions for other bolt-ons? so far i have aem cold air, dc headers, and invidia catback and i wanna make more power without spending too much money (i dont have much). today at school i was thinking about getting an ECU?? but idk...

Jan-10th-04, 12:41 am
Man, to tell you the truth, I don't want to say this, but keep the VAFC if you want to make power. Get cam gears and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and get tuning done. Thats the best thing to do. Let me know if you're interested.

Jan-10th-04, 12:43 am
i have no fucking clue how to work that vafc. i dont even really know what it does. do you know if there is anywhere around here that will do tuning, or anywhere with a dyno?
Maliwho97

Dyno tuning in Tulsa at Humble Performance. They can pull quite a few HP out w/ the cam gears, FPR, and VAFC. They love the B18C5s.
