Hello guys and galls, welcome to the new forum. Sorry i been away a while (damn paper route)... I've had some issues with my stang - clutch, fuel, syncros, lead foot :P - so i descided to park it for the winter (gonna miss you) so i brought out the old POS Probe - No offence to any probie lovers... but its true in mine's case :( . Its hard to go from lots of power to lots less power (and yes i might need a whaaambulance :lol: )

BTW guys, i appreciate everyone being all grown up and mature about dumb stuff, on forums like these, its easy to miss-understand someone or not communicate your thoughts like you want.... i hate to modify posts :unsure:

Anyhow, i plan to post more often now that we got all the small technical stuff out of the way and i got a dependable car now. I am currently working with some friends to design some banners and stickers for my and other cars to display our site address in public. A Friend Ty, of Magic Nails, is giving some pointers and may assist in the developement.... we (admin) are just in a loss for creativity presently.

I think the NWAImports site needs a unique Logo for use on business cards and stickers or anything else we could use it for, we have a couple but just say "NWAI" I think it would benifit us to have a graphic, just not sure on what or where to start. Anyone have any ideas what they would like to see?

I would have thought Type R's were more common up in that area. There are 2 I know of in Ft Smith. I took one out at Sallisaw, I've never seen how quick the other one is.

Its not that they aren't common, its just uncommon to see them driving. We don't expect most high school children to have them and cruise Dixieland with. :P

I wanted to put a Type-R sticker on my old 84 Carola, but I don't think it would make me go that much faster. You only gain like 5 hp per sticker, so i'd have to buy a lot of stickers to make up for how crumby of a vehicle that was.

got stickers for that too, its um, connecting rod manufacturer stickers and the ever-so-popular carbon drive shaft from GT3 and so on. (isnt it cool to get to install one on and import FWD!!!!) They shoulda made custom built halfshafts instead of Drive Shaft. Nahh, the um clutch stickers yea!!!, those complete the power setup from stickers :lol:
simple...... Motor (enhanced by stickers) 150hp stock - 200hp (sticker mods)
clutch and clutch stickers = tremendous grip and Extra torque somehow....
and the FWD Transmission with the carbon fiber drive shaft, makes the whole car weigh so much less :D , O i almost forgot, the 20's, yea, they seem to make it faster too and the wing gives you the most awesome traction doing 50 down main street.

Im just playin guys. Just woke up and still sleeping, but i thought it was funny :P

Yeah, you're basically a locale here. I mean, I've driven up to Joplin in an hour, and alot of places in NW Arkansas take that long.

This site was made in hopes of local car enthusiasts getting together to communicate their common intrests.... And to showcase rides for people to vote on. It is mainly to help "connect" NWA in ways we dont have on the street. I think we're doin ok for now, but i dunno. You guys are the important factor, letting friends know and participating and such. Like i said, i appreciate all of you stopping bye, even if its for a brief signup!

Performance is what I reallly wanted for my car, but since I got an ex instead of a prelude or si coupe like I originally wanted, performance is not really a plausible route for me at this time.

I heard about this site through a friend just a few days ago, and I must say this site was a good idea. :thumbup: I didn't realize NWA had so many nice FAST cars, hehe. Well I'm glad to be a member, but these forums need more active members. A suggestion I have is to see "sticky" 'how-to' or 'tech information' articles about a specific car in the Tuning or maybe form a 'tech' forum. I think more forum categories would be a good way to organize and not have so many broad topics in one category.

Anyways, I'll try to help out NWAI and spread the word to import/domestic car enthusiasts that I know, and hopefully watch this forum become more interactive. :shiftingfun:

Well, I think your a little confused. The years you MEANT where 79-81 because an 82 is the first year of the 3rd Gen. My car is like KITT from Night Rider, in fact KITT WAS an 82. While the Bandit cars were 2nd gen styles. Here's a little F-Body schoolin, I'm just sharing because I can. The third Gens (KITT, GTA, IROC, all third gen cars) ran from 82-92. It pretty much means that you can interchange parts from different years through out this time frame. There there were also 3 different styles of 3rd gen. 82-84, 85-90, 91-92. The main difference is in the nose and tail lights. 82-84 had two big vents in the front nose cone and ribbed tail lights, the 85-90 did not have the big vents and had solid taillights, the 91-92 had a nose from the Detroit Auto show concept car, it was much more sleek and "futuristic" and also had solid taillights..... A little F-Body 101.... :thumbup:

NWAImports has not done anything like that yet. Some local teams have some group photo's but we have some plans for (around) the first of the year... these plans will include local import gatherings. I plan to have some stickers made for a few people, but we dont really know if "NWAImports" should be strictly a site or a local team. Everything is faily new here, so once everything seems to be settling in, more options will be open to us.

Its you guys that have the idea's, so keep on bringing them :thumbup:

Whats going on I'm chris 25 Fresh From Arizona. I drive a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse 2.4 SOHC 5 Speed w/ Header K&N filter. 1/4 Mile time at SIR in Tucson AZ was slow as a turtle fucking.. but it still looks good :thumbup: Anyhow I'm looking for people to kick it with who are into imports. I have alot of time under a hood and love to do it so if you wanna kick it or work on cars I'm there... As far as the ladies on this site I have much :respect: for ya... Alright, just a little bad news. Matt, AKA Lordscourge (http://www.nwaimports.com/forums/index.php?showuser=7) wrecked his '95 Integra on Monday. He's fine, and only sustained minimal injuries, such as a bump on the head, few scratches, and a wrenched back.. But the car didn't do so well, the front looks like an accordian. :(

As well, I might remind you, if you didn't already know, he just got the car back from it being a victim of Grand Theft Auto, it being stripped and all... He was on his way to having it back in prime shape, but then this happens.
